I was wondering what had happened to Rubinsky. He's still as underhanded as ever, I see.
I feel bad for the ordinary Alliance soldiers. Some of them get to go be in Yang's fleet and survive, and the rest get to die for pretty much no reason. Pretty discretionary
I wonder if one of the ships allocated to Yang will be his old flagship.
I didn't even think about the Hyperion. I hope he does get it back
Bittenfield is awesome. He sends the diplomats to Mittermeyer to slow him down. All his ships are black. He brings back Reinhard from his slump and he is all-around quite funny. /love him.
I can't help but think that Iserlhorn really deserves to get blown up now. It's been overused already... I have no idea how Yang intends to get it back, but I hope it won't be another Rosenritter pawnage hahaha.
It's about time for the Alliance leader to burn out... I don't want him to get killed or worse... All he wants to do is to protect the rights of his citizens, unlike that bastard Truniht... I hope nothing bad happens to him. He should retire somewhere calm and never leave that place again.
Bittenfeld is hilarious. It's like he has no common sense, and the only thing he can do is charge forwards lol. The Black Lancers have the best ships though. Black on a black background is awesome.
What Ferrose said is very true. Iserlohn is necessary for the story. In the beginning, it made tactical sense because there's only two passages between that region of space, and controlling them is very important. Now, it will probably serve as the last stronghold of the federation forces. If Iserlohn wasn't invulnerable, they'd probably get wiped out in a minute. Even Yang can't hold out against fleets ten times his size forever.
Lebello is screwed. He was a good person, but he's changed too much. There's no way that he'd give up his position now, I think. He'll go down with the alliance when the empire fleet arrives.
He had a overly rough start, where Yang beat the crap out of him at Amtlizer (even though Bittenfeld's forces had already crushed 2 Alliance Fleets and killed 2 admirals before he even got to Yang). But after that, he makes every scene where he shows up great. And he hasn't even gotten to his best part yet...
Watched the first two epi of Squid girl as per recommendation. Will continue that. Didn't like Gunbuster. Shit's boring and its mecha /sigh Going to watch a random anime i saw laterz sekirei (cus i like bewbs) and Bakemonogatari. Any thoughts on the last one?
I can't stand Bakemonogatari. The story might be good, but the insert text / art shifting destroyed any interest I had in the series. Only watch it if you like anime that tries to be artsy for the sake of art, even though it would be FAR better without all that crap.

Sekirei is disgusting, and bakemonogatari is good.

Go with his suggestion.
Seen both
the former is not good, but the latter has some interesting characters

Fixed that for you
And Bakemonogatari is a very solid anime. Definitely watch it.
Yah :/ the sub group im using translates the de geso part as well, so you should be proud. Didn't really know what you were talking about before when you brought it up. I feel that much of the amusement in the text would be left out without translating all the "what the squid"'s and im squiddly amazing! stuff, shit's so cute.

...What. That'd be like if they translated all the "desu" in Rozen Maiden.
And I know that Ika Musume means "squid girl," but I don't get why anyone would translate that. I mean, it's her freakin' name.
Edit: Unbelievable. If you just watch all the degesos in a row you can get a pretty good summary of what happened in each ep. Lmao

Hmm, I've seen it done three different ways in the past, one, they'll leave out the little extra part the originial script contains and just translate it normally to English as if it were everyday speech, second way, they'll just throw the phonetically spelled de geso/deso part on the end like how are you ~deso (dumb as shit) or they'll translate the little quirk over into english (my favorite way). Hope that cleared that up.
The type of attention she gives Kirino goes far beyond simple "not wanting to see friend hurt" type of protection.
yandere. But yeah, I'd loooove to see her getting more development in the LNs. Maybe we'll get even 1 full volume of her with Kyosuke 1 day *drools*...

So she has a handcuffed guy in her room? Or the main character when they are alone?
This happens in VN? The game?
o.o
Vol 7 of the light novels when Kyosuke was over at her house.

Basically? No. That's what kept the original work's atmosphere intact, not to mention how the insert text was like completely necessary because Bake revolves around the printed words. So yeah, learn Japanese and your appreciation for that goes up tenfold.

Okay, that might be. I don't know the original work and I can't read Japanese (some screens were translated but you needed to be pretty fast on your pause key, too annoying for something that should be relaxing), so it just left a bad impression on me.
I know that I would enjoy a "traditional" version much more, but I know that I'm in the minority with my dislike of Bakemonogatari.
Regarding Ayase, why did she handcuff him? To threaten him?
The thing from bakemonogatari reminds me of another anime, i think it was ef. And for me I didn't bother pausing and reading everything. I don't understand much japanese but the style was different and cool, and it make it seem more epic (for me anyways).

Yeah, ef did that too. It helps that both were made by SHAFT
One thing that ef did that Bake didn't though, was give all the characters like a glowing aura.

It was more of a service for those who read the original, since we'd be able to see at just a glance more or less the line in question while hearing it. Then if there are wordplays usually they keep the line/words in question on screen so you can get it. Honestly without it people just won't get a ton of the puns in the series.
As for Ayase, it is just her way of expressing her love and flirt with Kyosuke. I am serious.

Thats one of my favorites. I guess if you just don't like Mecha in general, its just not a show for you. It did have a fairly slow start, but come episode 4, it turns into one of the most epic shows of all time. Plus its ending is one of the best I've ever seen (combined with Diebuster's ending).

Well I certainly didn't get it. :D Thanks for explaining the purpose of those scenes.
Ayase seems to be a pretty naughty girl. Interesting, I wouldn't have thought that about her.
