I've somewhat come to terms with shieldbro basicly ignoring all it's characters that aren't the MC the first two episodes and rushing through. With the loli-racoon getting the nekopara treatment now that she's "grown up" with a body of a 16year old + the mind of a 8 year old (compared to "the body of an 8year old + mind of an 8 year old" from ep1+2), she's essentially a completly different character now. So I can kind of see why they didn't bother giving her more screentime in her smol form when she changes that soon anyways. | ||

You mean like the other asshole heroes who automatically decided that he's guilty when it's his word vs hers? I think that part was disappointing overall. There was no trial, nothing, just an accusation and he lost everything. Lucky for him, the blacksmith at least understood things and he found someone that he can get along with, even if he was bossy at the start and still is to some degree. It seems that we'll get more characters joining the MC so it'll be interesting to see why and when they join. I didn't realize that demi humans are supposed to grow that fast, but I'm not complaining. I mostly wanted to see their month long development and to me, it seems like they pretty much became "close" in a single episode (him buying her, beating that bunny then the dog creature etc...) | ||

But that's sort of the point? Shieldbro our protagonist is shunned by the world and actively tries to avoid contact with it as much as possible. At this point in the story he even struggle to fully trust Raphtalia. Just like nobody else wants to see or hear his point of the story, we as the viewer dont get to see or hear the others side. Right now all we know about the world and the other heroes are what shieldbro know, which in my mind makes perfect sense from a narrative perspective considering it's a story of an outcast that dont want anything to do with anyone. + Show Spoiler [from manga] + What the other heroes have been up to and are doing is slowly revealed as he opens up to the world and starts interacting with it. | ||
