Finished lovely complex. While I do recommend the anime because it's still a fun watch, I had some gripes on how things progressed: + Show Spoiler +

MC always going crazy over Otoni was a bit off-putting. I realize that it was mostly one-sided early on because he couldn't imagine her differently and I think it's nice that she never gave up but the whole pattern of constant crying, back and forth 'I give up' into 'I can't give up' etc... was irritating at times.

Then she'll do something that will obviously get him mad, aka going to that concert with the other young guy from her work, yet she does it just because umbizou > all. Maybe it's because as a teenager, I was pretty careful with this kind of stuff, just feels odd that she'll prioritize a concert over someone who she's tried so hard to date in the last year or two. Other than that, a good watch. I'm a bit glad that we got a small arc for nobu-chan and Chiharu to show that their own relationships weren't perfect as well.

Just finished all of Jojo with the end of Part 4 and the Rohan OVA. Now I feel the pain of waiting for Part 5 to never come, with the knowledge that that means Part 6 and the stellar Part 7 will be pushed back even more.

Somehow I enjoyed Part 4 even more than Part 3. I liked the characters better since they showed a wider range of emotions and development, and the fights were very cleverly done.

Finished watching Children of the whales. Good watch that I'd recommend. Its only 12 ep so isn't long by any sense. Slightly predictable but still enjoyed it to the end. Waiting on a season 2.

I've finished watching Buddy Complex TV, just need to watch the 2 OVA episodes now. Buddy Complex is legit one of the most generic and bland mecha anime I've ever forced upon myself. Its like the show just had a checklist of mechs tropes, and went down the list and half-heartedly checked every single one of them. The show didn't even have good designs or battles to make up for it, since all of those were generic too!

But at the very least, I'll be ready for SRW X when it arrives in a few days, so it'll be worth, I hope.

idk, Keijo case was weird.

It pretty much got axed but the reason and speculation about the anime tanking is supposedly wrong (according to author + staff).
Quite honestly I'm not sure there's anyone who really knows what happened outside of the people really in the know there as the things just don't fit together very well.

On the one hand the claim that it sold really shitty (the BD that is) is refuted by the author who asked the staff and they should know their numbers.
But then it is true that the manga itself pretty much got axed and got the worst spot in the magazine it was publishing in. If it sold really well and people were happy about it it would have probably gotten a better spot and not got axed, right?
The author admitted to having to rush through things to get to an ending, maybe not as bad as Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai (that still gives me PTSD) but somewhere up there.
But then you also (probably?) wouldn't really spend tons of money to make an anime of a manga that's on the verge of being axed because it's selling so badly.

But yeah, don't expect Keijo to be comming back anytime soon imo. It's probably also been way more popular abroad than in JP.

I checked out the Promised Neverland manga since a lot of people were hyping it up, given the recent news of the anime adaptation. Its pretty excellent.

Another note, when I was trying to read the Hero Aca manga though, I remembered why I dont typically like to read manga. A lot of times i have a habit of going from word to word, ignoring or not paying attention to the panels. So I kinda ignore the context of some stuff, or like, if the panels were trying to empathize a big action. Not sure if this happens to other people, or maybe its just my inexperience with manga as a whole.

One of the best couples, the culmination of all of their chapters together and a satisfying ending to their story

I'm really hoping more seasons for this show comes out.

What is up with anime series adapting the fucking movies all the time? Like, we've seen the damn movie, we don't need 20+ episodes of the movie. I'm talking Boruto and DBS specifically. Just keep the fucking story moving along.
