It wasn't written by Urobutcher either, he had nothing to do with it. I think it was just because it was a big success and there was money to be made, not because there was a story to tell.

The problem with telling a story post that is that it's only satisfying if you answer the questions you posed in s1 but if you do that it removes some of the impact of s1. Just didn't feel like it was a world that was built for more than that single story. Contrast to GitS which is open enough to really be a vehicle of anything you want.

Well that's true. However, they also decided to shit on some important stuff from the first season...

ikr. Finally someone else but me also realizing it :3
Yea, it was a lot better than both the SAO and oniisama movie. I guess it helps that the movie adopted vol 6 of the LN instead of making some new and original side story. Also Jibril is op.
On another note, I like the ending song. That along with Daoko's song for the fireworks movie would prob be my fav movie theme songs of 2017.

edit: nvm...it got boring real fast (also the eps are shorter)
I didn't even get through the first episode of dagashi because it was boring. Why would you bother with the second season if your opinion on the first was negative?

that one? Not the biggest fan of it. It's good but not great imo. I much prefer the last tracks of the OST but the song makes for a good ending theme after having watched 2hours of movie for sure. Just doesn't have that kick to it as for example the NGNL op or other really catchy songs
Also, I've mentioned this when talking to Neo but I really liked Matsuoka in the end. If you ctrl+f that name in combination with my nickname in here you probably get a thousand results because I mention him to frequently. But for the most part I just like him as a person, as an entertainer on stage during events or radio etc. I don't actually think he's thaaaat good as a voice actor. In fact a lot of times he just overshoots by so much that it really makes me dislike a lot of his roles, like Kirito etc. Sometimes it fits when it's supposed to be funny but mostly it's just way over the top imo. But in this case I REALLY liked him, for once, for his performance. That ending + Show Spoiler +

Light Novel series Boogiepop wa Warawanai to recieve a new TV anime adapation by Madhouse. New PV, key visual, staff, and cast were also revealed during the announcement.
damn so many interesting new announcements lately.
Just finished a binge of A.I.C.O. that was just released on Netflix. I'd give it a generous 7/10. It wasn't fantastic, but it wasn't terrible either, and I was still engaged enough to finish the entire thing.
Studio Bones produced the show, so the art, animation, and action are well done. The near-future designs for the suits, weapons, and vehicles looked cool as well.
While the plot's basic premise felt interesting with its focus on biology and biotechnology, the writing and plot felt cheaper as it went on. There was an over-abundance of flashbacks and repeated monologues that felt like monotonous padding after seeing them in almost every episode. The mystery felt engaging, and the big twists and reveals near the end were welcome, though the actual ending episodes got very cliche. The plot did get more confusing from those reveals, with some elements not even being explained completely.
Netflix could've done worse with this anime (*cough* Neo Yokio *cough*), but it's no Devilman Crybaby. The production value felt good, but the plot and writing weren't stellar.

yeah i still dont even get the what the monsters are? some kinda of bio mech thing, and then theres all those evil interludes where they cut to those "fathers' in the circle room they are clearly up to some shit
You know, I'm a bit excited to see Hestia and Bell-sama again! haha. I wonder how far they'll adapt. All I know is that the next 2 arcs were a really fun and exciting read so I'm hoping that they do them justice. Toad, seeing as you mentioned it, did you get to catch how many cours? Is it 1 or 2?
