Yeah, the main thing about that sequence was about how stylized it is. There are plenty of things that come off better animated off the top of my head, chief of which being Red Line. While the art style between these two are pretty different, the actual animation fluidity of that chinese animation reminds me of this: Spoilers for Garo s1, I guess?: + Show Spoiler + | ||

I'm 2 episodes in now and I don't want to judge it yet. Lets say the paddle thing rang all the alarm bells for me but it's too early to say how much stuff like this will occur throughout the show. If the mystery and action is good, that might carry it for me so I can enjoy it. Most anime lose me when the characters are too obnoxious, I can't stand that. I don't mind forgettable characters too much though as long as something else carries the show. It obviously won't end up in the very good and up range then of course but an ok watch. We'll see.  | ||
