I'd search my own posts but I am too lazy, but I recall posting a dozen or so pages ago when the interest in VN in this thread first sprouted with a list of what I'd recommend. | ||

Not all have translations. Some links have NSFW screenshots, others do not. In short, the link is safe. Navigate subpages at your own risk though. Anyway, the vast majority of VNs have h-content, so I don't really know what you're agonizing over. =/ | ||

Oh god that VN gave me nightmares (technically a sound novel) + Show Spoiler + Rena still makes me shudder it's really good though once you get past the almost painful slice of life bit in the beginning (for development I suppose) and the not so great art Looking at Umineko, but I'm going to be short on time and I dunno if I should play the VN or watch the anime... D: | ||

Sengoku Rance, for instance, isn't Sengoku Rance if you take out the h-scenes. Otherwise, you don't see just how much of a dick (lololol pun) Rance can be. It is kind of easy to check when you just keep the game sitting around on hd About the necessity of h scenes in these eroge...depending on the type of game really. In the case of type-moon's games, given the heavy focus on descriptions instead of CGs, the h-scenes often feel like a part of the story itself, almost integral. Even then though you tend to be able to just skip the steamy parts without any loss...just that the writing is pretty good even there. In the case of games like Rance, they serve to flesh out the characters in question. However, for a lot of other games, one of the most prominent example I can think of being Utawarerumono and Leaf's SLGs in general, h-scenes are just like randomly tagged on to give the game a 18+ rating. So yeah, really depends on the game in question. EDIT - Hahaha Miya, best route to come probably. | ||
