However, they seem to keep referring to a scene where shinji wakes up on a beach beside asuka, and proceeds to begin strangling her. i never watched this scene, and i had the directors cut (so it wouldn't be censored or anything). i wonder why i missed it. anyone have thoughts on the series on a whole?
you probably didn't watch the movies. This scene is from "The end of evangelion" movie.
yep your rite. i learned that "end of evangelion" is eps 25 and 26 redone on a budget xD
To all the ppl watchin LoGH where are you dling/streaming it from? Shit sounds epic, i want in.

Eh, I haven't really been too impressed by Fractale. The world is interesting, but they haven't really explained anything yet. As for characters, the main guy is okay I guess. Nessa is borderline annoying - I'm getting a lot of Yui vibes from her. But the one thing I absolutely despise is the group of antagonists. To me, it feels like they were put in for cheap laughs or something, and they ruin the show's atmosphere. They're practically Team Rocket.
I'd actually recommend Madoka over Fractale so far this season.
Those of you who knew already...well whatever, but seriously I was looking things up about them since I thought that they might be worth a hard look in the future, then that.

110 episodes is nothing to scoff at. Just be glad that it's laserdisc and not DVD. Otherwise it'd be about 100-150MB more per episode... Anyways, just download the first 26 episodes. No point downloading them all at once and using up your bandwidth when you won't be able to watch them all in that timeframe.
I still think it's hilarious that LoGH is considered an OVA.

So I have a piece of good news, and a piece of truly awesome news.
My friend and I made this bet, since it was our last year of school, the one who did better would choose something that other had to do (within reason.) He made this pretty confident as he always beats me, but come the end of the year I actually won the bet (just.)
Now for the awesome part, I'm thinking of making him watch an entire anime series, he absolutely hates the genre so no matter what I pick I doubt he will get into it. So I've decided to be as vindictive as possible, and am struggling to choose between some shoujo slice of life, highschool drama garbage, or .... School Days. Need some suggestions (to make him hate it as much as possible)
Make him watch Shugo Chara. LOL, its long and its mahou shoujo for girls. I'm surprised i actually made it through the first season. School Days is too short imo, and I sorta enjoyed it... If anything choose the shoujo slice of life, since shoujo animes are like for girls, so different appeals compared to high school drama garbage, which could have fan service, which would make it less bad for him, probably.

Well yeah, obviously he'll tell you he hates whatever. But if it was me I'd rather weird him out than just hand him more things to complain to you about.

Rather, I did anyway but my ears bleed.
Fractale is more of a reminder that the original work is pretty much always better than any anime adaptation you can get.

So their identity is unknown, except for the fact that they are 2 junior high-school girls? Did I get that right?

Not able to watch in all within a month of time? Thats silly, you can watch 20 episodes a day and be done within the week with a show like LOGH, although maybe I just watch a lot more than others since my days usually involve Coding till I'm bored, then anime till I'm bored repeating between the two excluding class days o.0.
Kämpfer Queens Blade
stuff like that
Theres a fine line on making someone suffer anime and making them suffer a basic Hentai, Queen's Blade is very close to the Hentai Line/ Extreme ecchi. Although I did enjoy part 2 somewhat :D
But for suffering purposes make him watch Strange Dawn. . . . .Nuff Said about bad anime right there.

School Days or Lucky Star. One is hilarious, the other is absolutely terrible in almost every way.
Or you could always make him watch something like Naruto or Bleach, and be like "LOL HAVE FUN WITH 300 EPISODES OF CRAP"

Doesn't One piece have like 500ish? or close?
It does, but One Piece is one of only a few animes I've given a 10 on MAL, so I wouldn't exactly punish someone with it lol
