If you come in here looking for "anime recommendations" then please refer to this chart before posting: Anime Recommendations (as of may 2014). We also have an IRC channel called #tladt where we all hang out. The channel is on Rizon, not QuakeNet! Feel free to check it out. TLADT discord is Discord.gg

For currently airing anime, please see Anichart.net

F-Zero: GP Legend (F-ZERO ファルコン伝説, Efu Zero Farukon Densetsu, literally "F-Zero: Legend of Falcon /-Falcon Legend"?) is a fifty-one episode anime series by Ashi Productions based on the video game of the same name. It debuted in Japan on October 7, 2003, on TV Tokyo; the final episode aired on September 28, 2004. 4Kids Entertainment licensed the anime series for North American broadcast.

yeah but I think 4kids dropped, so where would I go to look for the rest? Was it ever fully subbed, or was there just not enough interest? Do I have to learn japanese to watch the rest of it?

Unless the license was terminated as well, they are still the licensee. I wasn't able to find direct confirmation on that, but it is still listed as licensed on various sites.

The only new fansubs I could find were for episodes 1-8 by ARR. Apparently the show was fansubbed when it first premiered, but the groups dropped it (groups I could find that did F-Zero: Miyuki and A-M) after a few episodes.

Edit: So a complete fansub seems very unlikely, at least for me. It might be possible that there is one somewhere hiding in the depths of IRC, but I wouldn't count on it.

Yeah I found a few dead links to pdfs showing 4kids dropping the licensing but nothing substantial. Thanks for your help though.

So I liked the first few episodes, is the rest of the anime horrible or do I just have strange tastes?

Marathoned through Hoshi no Samidare this weekend. The story wasn't anything groundbreaking or unique, but it was still pretty enjoyable. The tragic scenes are tragic, the plot twists were very well executed, and the ending was reasonably satisfying. It was also nice having a main character that didn't suck and who wasn't completely dense. All in all, it was a pretty good manga.

I downloaded it a month or two ago from bakabt (freeleech ftw), but kinda set it aside since I had so much other stuff to read/watch. I actually forgot all about it until I saw a recommendation for it (the same thread where Onani Master Kurosawa was recommended to me, incidentally). But yeah, just judging from the info on MAL, this manga seems kinda underrated which is unfortunate since it's actually good.

I still don't understand what this show is supposed to be about. I mean, I know it's a magical girl anime, but what the heck is Subaru involved for?

i know im kinda late lol, but i just finished the eva series. man the ending was confusing and totally unexpected o.o. i looked up some explanations online and found out some interesting things. However, they seem to keep referring to a scene where shinji wakes up on a beach beside asuka, and proceeds to begin strangling her. i never watched this scene, and i had the directors cut (so it wouldn't be censored or anything). i wonder why i missed it. anyone have thoughts on the series on a whole?

you probably didn't watch the movies. This scene is from "The end of evangelion" movie.

Finally catching up to LoGH.

I really hope that the subbers meant to say "Who is that?" and not "What is that?" Because I don't think Yang is racist D:

They did it at least two times, so it's probably intentional.

I dunno if it was intentional or not, because its not like it was the first time he ever saw a black guy. I mean his superior in Season 1 was a black guy, and they had a degree of trust with each other. Plus, normally its the Imperial side that is more racist/sexist side. I mean, the original Kaiser basically went Hitler on ethnic minorities, the disabled, and homosexuals.

For the screen shot in question, maybe it meant something about his size? That character is someone who is basically one of the largest/strongest non-Rosenritter people on the Alliance side (or at least I think it is).

Or it could just be a wording/interpretation miss by the translator *rolls eyes* I can imagine they may have said あれはなんだ?(what's that?) in questioning what the random person standing over there is, for instance.

Oh yeah, btw the Remastered DVD version for Season 1 and 2 for LOGH has been released. The subber hasn't gotten around to doing Season 3/4 yet, and IDK how long it will take. It took a while for him to get around to Season 1 and 2, anyway.
