I'm waiting for Ayako's release myself.
I think I just fell in love with Sachi...

Never heard of Whine either, but I hate Ayako's wording. ji-hi suggests that they aren't too bad. I'll give them a try.
Edit: Wow their timing is terrible. Guess Ayako's the better choice after all. Too bad Hina's release is so slow.
MMO's? Girl has no taste.

You have no taste
Edit: Yumekui Merry 2 is out on gg. No MSMM yet
Edit 2: Oh..."For the 80th time, the Madoka translator is gone all today for a convention." ;_;

I watched Whine's release for Freezing, and it wasn't that bad. I looked at their site, and apparently they threw together a release real fast using a shitty raw to "piss Ayako off"... I'll either wait for a v2 or Ayako. Although it wouldn't hurt Ayako to l2grammar.

Nutbladder released Madoka ep 2 earlier today.

LOL
By the way, the ED changed to reflect the size of his harem.

I prefer their translation over Ayako's, so as long as they don't pull anything stupid, I guess I'll stick with them.

lmao
I'm gonna torrent MSMM and IS from Nutbladder and Whine respectively. I guess I'll see how they are.

MSMM Ep2.
The german text displayed at 16:41 is a direct quote from Goethe's Faust. English translation taken from the George Madison Priest version linked through WP. + Show Spoiler [Faust] +Weh! weh! / Woe! Woe! Du hast sie zerstört. / Thou hast destroyed Die schöne Welt, / The beautiful world, Mit mächtiger Faust; / With powerful fist; Sie stürzt, sie zerfällt! / 'Tis smashed, downward hurled! Ein Halbgott hat sie zerschlagen! / A demigod dashed it to bits! Wir tragen / We're trailing Die Trümmern ins Nichts hinüber. / The ruins on to the Void, Und klagen / And wailing Über die verlorne Schöne. / Over the beauty lost and gone!
It continues later at 18:07, with the following part. + Show Spoiler [Faust] +Mächtiger / Mighty one Der Erdensöhne, / Midst the sons of earth, Prächtiger / Splendider Baue sie wieder, / Build it again, In deinem Busen baue sie auf! / Build it aloft in thy breast! Neuen Lebenslauf / And life's new quest Beginne, / Commence Mit hellem Sinne, / With clearer sense, Und neue Lieder / And songs of cheer Tönen darauf! / Anew shalt hear!
So... Magical girl fights, including even more insane musket action (I guess I should think about my "no drugs" stance, if it makes you see that sort of crazy stuff) and a lot of background exposition. Pretty interesting episode. I still wonder what the drawback to the whishes is. I guess Madoka's question about Homura's wish hit pretty close.
Compare with the following interview spoilers with the producers for even more mind games. + Show Spoiler [MSMM Interview] +- Every word from Homura has meaning. - The story revolves around a single theme. - A Mahou Shoujo is not necessary a hero. - The show is not a monster-of-the-week type of show. - The concepts of enemies and magic weapons are different from the standard. - Mahou Shoujo in this show are not united as a single group. - The main element of the story is how everyone from a different standpoint understands each other. - Everything about Homura is mysterious, unlike other characters where their parts and motivation are clear. - Mami knows the mechanism of the world to a certain degree, so her part is a guide to Madoka and Sayaka. - Madoka and Sayaka will follow the way Mami leads, but at a certain point they might choose their own paths.
Edit: About Nutbladder, as far as I can tell, their subs are pretty good. Not as bad as gg's at least, but they drop honorifics. Waiting for Chihiro for archival purposes I guess, but Nutbladder is watchable.

Thanks, I was trying to google to see what exactly that was about myself.
EDIT - Time to dig out my copy of Faust when I get home.

+ Show Spoiler [MSMM 2] +Damn, that was awesome. And it even had a Goethe reference <3
I want the OP and ED singles to come out. Those songs are amazing.
It seems like this show has a certain formula: First 2/3 is just kinda like slice of life school stuff. And the last 1/3 is an acid trip.
Also, I wonder if they can turn off that telepathy. That'd be pretty annoying. And embarrassing.

+ Show Spoiler [MSMM 2] +There is so much unexplained at the moment... Why do the girls need to recharge their powers by hunting witches? Why are there witches and how do they appear? What is the dream all about? Why did Homura warn Madoka about becoming a magical girl? Is Kyuube evil (see Faust reference / "make a contract")? What did the other girls wish for and was it really granted? Are there other drawbacks to the wish contract? What happens if a magical girl doesn't defeat enough witches to restore their magical power?
I love shows that allow to speculate about the background. <3
Also here is a Musket .gif for you (3 MB) + Show Spoiler +

+ Show Spoiler +I just hope that those are answered. I'd be pretty disappointed if they didn't really explain all the stuff behind the magic. I also hope that this show is more than fucking twelve/thirteen episodes.
And nice gif, reminds me of when Senjougahara opens her skirt and all the random school supplies fall out.
+ Show Spoiler [IS 2] +That was so fucking stupid. The parameters of the duel are that if your shields deplete, you lose. So they give him this mech that he's never used before that has an attack that drains your shields to zero, and he loses by unwittingly using it. I hope that the LNs weren't written this poorly -_-
At least now it's plausible that they don't use them for war. With only 467 in existence, it'd be pretty impractical to use them; losing one in battle would be incredibly costly.

+ Show Spoiler [MSMM 2] +I'm like what I've seen of this show so far. It's legitimately interesting stuff.
The contract seems far too good to be true. I feel like there must be a drawback somewhere. I suspect that once you accept the contract, you are forced directly (Can't rebel against the rabbit thing) or indirectly (You lose your powers? Your wish? Your life?) to fight the witches. So far, the witches have been portrayed as evil, but that's mostly because of what Mami's said, and because they look alien. Things probably aren't so black and white though.
It's interesting to note that the seed didn't recharge Mami's magic - rather, it sucked the darkness out of her jewel. And if the girls recharge their magic by killing witches, I wonder if it's safe to assume that witches do the same by killing magical girls.
I think I could listen to the OP all day. I kinda wish they'd give us a proper ED.
By the way, in IS it was suggested that charging towards someone with a long range weapon is bad. I dunno about you, but it seems strategically sound to me. =/
Also, Merry is cute.

Especially considering the first ep.
It's not impractical to use IS in battle. With limited numbers, it just means that mass production isn't an option. The IS has a wide variety of weaponry (presumably), has shielding, is stupidly maneuverable, and can fly. It's your run of the mill overpowered mech. Just because you can't deploy them everywhere doesn't mean they won't be effective in battle. Yes, losing a suit would be costly, but they'd be so good at killing stuff that it wouldn't matter. For instance, aircraft carriers are ridiculously expensive and losing one would be catastrophic, yet they're still used because air superiority is invaluable.

Seriously, the full version for the MSMM OP needs to come out NOW. It's annoying to only have a 1:30 version

+ Show Spoiler [MSMM 2] +The "sucking out the darkness"-part is interesting. Perhaps if a magical girl uses too much magic it will transform into a witch? So if you don't want to become one, you need to kill other witches to save yourself from the darkness accumulating in your jewel.
If you take a look at the gif above (or the fight scene), one of the recurring parts in the background is a butterfly (mark of the witch) and a egg-jewel (magical girl "device"). Butterflies are commonly associated with death, rebirth, metamorphosis and the cycle of life. What does the egg-jewel stand for? Also the symbols always appear next to each other in a never-ending circle, so they have to be connected by more than just being enemies.

+ Show Spoiler +That doesn't make sense though. It's like: You're using too much magic and becoming a witch. How do you solve it? USE MORE MAGIC TO KILL A WITCH
