Like I am even considering to get a PSP to play OreImo and some other titles with, that's how little things I have motivation to read.

I think that maybe there'll be a romance arc involving them, and it will end poorly. And Phezzan is really going to shake things up soon, with all this backroom plotting. Edit: I also thought that it was kinda cool how Mecklinger was a famous artist/poet before he became a soldier. + Show Spoiler + Nah, Yang's not the only competent person on the Alliance side anymore. They've got Merkatz now. Attenborough's no slouch either. Also: ![]() He is so screwed. Mariendorf is no Kircheis. She might try to replace him, but she'll fail in the end. I do forsee a romance plot there though.

I mean, unless you are just looking for stuff like "war, giant robots, drama, politics". Geass is... unique in how it tries to be "smart" and have all the... "plot twists" and such in it. Death Note is similar sorta, except it isn't a War/Mecha show. Look there, I didn't flame the show aren't you guys proud of me lol Sent.. I guess you're not a big fan of the anime. Sorry I wasn't more clear, I just meant other good mecha animes, not necessarily ones that are similar to Geass. Any you could recommend?

SMG failed hard because the only hook I have to it is the promise of a better end. Similar to Little Busters, but unlike LB SMG fails (at least, to me) to grab my attention with interesting characters... because they're all rage-inducing. LB had the original Little Busters, whom were all fabulous individual characters. They still stand out. Dies Irae has an awesome premise but you told me it could be rage inducing so my expectations have tapered off a bit. I also got pissed off at Sumika. Commu's probably pretty good but its premise (Captain Planet!) annoys me. Especially when they suddenly brought up the stats for each kind of Captain Planet. That really annoyed me. I'm finding it absurdly difficult to immerse into the story, and that's usually a put-off. Doesn't help that there's only one interesting character (Kagome) and the rest all feel like stereotypical stupid stuff. I've skipped through I'd hope like half of the first route and it hasn't changed, so yeah. Gonna take your suggestion and find a complete save to skip the requirements hassle. If I find that things don't make sense I can always backtrack and skip through the other routes to find the puzzle pieces I'm missing. and lol @ SeSeKano. I'd probably give it more of a shot than I did ~30 minutes but you've really downed me on it :x And I tend to trust your opinion, so...

Just a few questions about Akira the movie and manga. Do I start with the movie or the manga first? Does the movie covers everything from the manga?

and lol @ SeSeKano. I'd probably give it more of a shot than I did ~30 minutes but you've really downed me on it :x And I tend to trust your opinion, so... I do intend to read it again, it was pretty clear I didn't get on a full route, but what I saw up to that point was kind of annoying enough for me to want to drop it for a while. I'll let you know then -.-

I didn't like the way the walkthrough for DI looked though o_O Only routes? No true? Err oh. Kara no Shoujo 2 can't come soon enough, regardless of my apprehension about tarnishing the end to KnS 1. Even though I haven't read Caucasus yet... IGrey stuff scare me ![]()

Almost everything seems pretty cool this season, though my gut feelings are telling me to keep my expectations low lest I get trolled a la Angel Beats! once more. With that said, please don't screw up Madoka Magica.

Sorry I wasn't more clear, I just meant other good mecha animes, not necessarily ones that are similar to Geass. Any you could recommend? Okay, Mecha anime in general: Mecha anime is generally divided into 2 different types: "Real Robot" anime, and "Super Robot" anime. Code Geass would be a Real Robot show. They generally are more serious shows, with the setting being a war of some sort, with the Robots themselves being as "realistic" as a Giant Robot that shots lasers can be. In these, Robots basically replace tanks or airplanes. Mobile Suit Gundam was the first show of this kind, and the Gundam Franchise is one of the biggest and longest running in anime. Super Robot shows are basically if you take a Robot, give it super powers, have the pilot be a crazy/manly/charismatic badass, and [generally] have him battle giant aliens/monsters/demons/etc. So, with that said, I'll recommend Mecha anime similar to Geass. As I said earlier, the Mobile Suit Gundam series is very long running, and contains alot of good shows. Gundam shows that are good intros to the series are Gundam Unicorn, Gundam: 08th MS Team, Gundam SEED, Gundam 00, or Gundam Wing. Note, that while these are all "Gundam", they are all mostly* alternate universes, so you don't need to watch one before the others (since they don't relate to each other at all plot wise). My favorites out of those are Gundam SEED and Gundam Unicorn. Unicorn is still running, however (its going to be a 6 movie series, and 2 of the 6 are out so far). Gundam Wing was the introductory Gundam show for alot of people in the West, including myself. Gundam 00 was alright too. *Unicorn and 08th MS Team are in the same universe, but separated by like 15 years or something, and you don't need to see one to understand the other. Although 08th MS Team does take place first. Macross is another good series to watch. The original, Macross Plus, and Macross Frontier are all good. Macross series tend to have very good dogfights, cool transformable mechs, and love triangles. Full Metal Panic! is another good one. This one mixes Mecha with highschool comedy, sorta. It sounds impossible to do, but they do pull it off. Escaflowne is one of my favorites, and its very unique compared to other Mecha shows. The show is set in a medieval fantasy setting, with knights and dragons and such. The Mechs in this show are essentially giant suits of armor. Blue Gender is one that not alot of people here have mentioned, but I still like it. Its a pretty dark anime, in terms of the violence and deaths. In this one, the Earth had been taken over by an alien race called the Blue, which are like the giant Zerg, and they eat people. And so its like a Mech TvZ. Break Blade is a series of movies that has been coming out recently, although only 2 of the movies are out so far. Basically, most people in this are called sorcerers, and can manipulate quartz however they want. This results in them manipulating the stuff for use in Giant Robots called Golems. The main character can't do this, but for some reason (currently unexplained), he is the only one who can pilot this ancient golem that no one else can. On January 12 2011 02:27 DarthXX wrote: They should totally make a Seinen Gundam series, can you imagine all the main pilots being replaced every 10-15 episodes cus they die in battles, would be epic. haha, I dunno, after watching Gundam's last attempt to make a very dark and kill-em-all show, the main character was a 13 year old kid, and the director when out of his way to kill as many characters as possible in order to permanently traumatize the poor kid.
