Magical Jesus show is another that's a perfect example of it yet it sells like hotcakes so obviously the fans just don't care?
Maybe we just have to accept that these stories aren't written for us. Still annoying when they have so many parts that could work well and be enjoyable.
The MC doesn't even have to be the best. They can just be like Araragi, competent and an insufferable moron who doesn't deserve best girls love. At the very least the MC should invoke some kind of emotion besides frustration or apathy.

But magical Jesus and imouto are engaged.

Neo told me about that. Really pushing the incest sexual tension to the maximum. Sure some fans must be fainting at the tease. I mean as much as you can have tension being a rock and a slag.

Good point. Numy has been preaching this sentiment for quite some time now, everytime this debate came up.

A lot of the normal TV romance stuff just ends with the two people finding out they like each other/confessing and then that's it. There might be some odd ones out but really the only things that don't do that that I can think of would be long running TV series.

Yea. Kirito and Asuna had sex in the first 11 episodes for example. Harems don't care about this finding out if the other person likes you sort of thing.

depends, the more romance focused harems (Nisekoi?) are still all about it. Highschool DxD on the other hand obviously not at all but then again I think you only consider stuff like Highschool DxD "true" harems.
I'll give SAO some bonus points though now that you mention it. That was certainly nice about it early on and then going on (into Asuna getting shafted until cancer arc). Maybe I should give progressive a chance after all

If I look at it objectively, the Orange manga is a strong 7 to light 8. However, because it gave me the strongest emotions I've ever experienced from any artistic medium, I add a few points

Yeah I know and I don't like that, either. It seems to be to difficult to write something when the relationship is already going... Only a few anime and books I watched/read tapped into that.

There are some. The most recent one was Joker Game. It was an episodic show about japanese spys. Hellsing Ultimate has Nazis. :ugly: I'm not too much into military anime though so others probably know more.

Eh. I don't know if I would call someone a hero that is absolutely batshit crazy and likes killing but I guess so. Make sure you watch the Ultimate version if you watch it.

Zipang is about a modern Aegis equipped destroyer that gets sent back in time to WWII. It's pretty mediocre, but if nothing else, the fights are entertaining.

I checked Zipang on MAL. Not a terrible score, but it caught my attention. Maybe I'll check it out if I'm bored.
Also guys and girls : Suicide Squad isn't as terrible as the reviews make it. But it isn't great neither. Mediocre -_-

I've been watching a basketball anime... Uh Kuroko Basketball I think is the name. There was no real reason for me to start watching, but I've enjoyed it so far.

Suicide Squad is better than SvB, which ain't saying much but it is... something

+ Show Spoiler [Zestiria ep5] +Wat? Did they just throw in a random episode without connecting it? I mean, it will probably be connected later but for a show that releases weekly it's a weird thing to do.
