man I don't get this show. I think the show is cute but I don't get the humor in this at all. The story is cute. The show looks amazing because of its great animation. But I can't bring myself to laugh at it. Personally, I feel that what Mob is doing is just the logical outcome. There is no surprise or twist of expectation.
Wow, only 4 episodes and he is already sucking tits. Is this just a tease for what is coming later? Also that cannon was really powerful. I guess he will have a climax hybrid with all of them.

Well, Ghibli was at least involved in the production of the movie so I would say it counts... It's pretty much Miyazaki's life's work. That's the movie he really wanted to make but he couldn't find investors for an original at that point so he drew a manga and "adapted" the movie.

As for Starship Troopers: Haven't watched any of them so I don't know what exactly you are looking for but I suggest Zegapain. It might be more Matrix-like than Starship Troopers-like though.
Seriously? Someone asks for an anime about fighting against bugs trying to destroy humanity and somehow I'm the one that's going to mention Schwarzes Marken? It has a bit more internal politics, but the Beta are remarkably similar to the bugs from Starship Troopers. (The movie, at least.)

haven't seen that and thus don't know which ones are good or bad but I'm seeing subs from Underwater on nyaa and they tend do be decent? As well as a couple others I don't know shit about, but surely there's something there to be found

Jokes aside. Are you talking about the movies? Because the subs for the series were fine if I remember correctly. But yeah, Underwater subs are usually good.
Omg, Naho is so dense... at least they talked in the end. But wtf that ending "I wonder if my future self knows the person Kakeru is interested in.". xDD
Knowing this series is a drama, and everything is developing kinda nicely so far, I expect something big. Like Kakeru and Naho ending up as a couple while something bad happens to Suwa. Basically save one, the other one dies. Perpaps a little extreme though, lol. Or it not working out with Kakeru / Kakeru dying anyway so she ends up alone. Prefer the first one though, would be more sad cuz Suwa is super nice so far. A lot of things can happen though. What about Ueda hurting/killing her or Kakeru? Anything is possible in anime. Don't think that'll happen tho.

Haha yeah. However, I think it's kind of normal to have doubts that the other one loves you because if you have feelings you tend to overrate the other person's actions.
I think saving Kakeru while Suwa dies or gets hurt is the most probable thing that might happen.
