I'm probably going to take the train really early tomorrow to not die of heatstroke... so either soonish, still early in the evening (my time, let's say not past 1am) for me, or we have to wait a couple hours until around midnight your time for when I'm done with not dying in a possible non-AC train.

Working was a pretty solid anime. I enjoyed the characters and the plot. Music was good and the animation was on par with anime at that time. The only complaint I really have, was that it seemed too similar with other slice of life animes apart from a few things. The comedy in it was suited to my taste and they made good use of it. Overall I'd say the first two seasons are 4/5 with the third being a 4.5/5 for me. Kemono no Souja Erin was a lot better then I thought it was going to be. The one stand out thing in the anime was the soundtrack they played for the setting. I really enjoy music in anime when it's a good choice and when it fits the scene. Nothing gets me out of a scene then mismatched music. Hence why I absolutely adored Mushishi, but that's a different story. I really enjoyed the setting and the themes that it has over the course of the anime. Considering it was from Nahoko Uehashi, it had a lot of the things that made Seirei no Moribito a great anime for me. Engaging characters, great narration, great landscape shots, music that fit the scenes and it had a great story. The only glaring issue I had with it, was that the backgrounds at times were really horrid. They weren't bad by any means, I really enjoyed the drawn look to them. There just wasn't a lot of blending between the characters and the backgrounds at times with darker backgrounds usually causing the issue for me. Overall, I think the positives really outweigh the few negatives I found in it. It's not far off from a 5/5, but the few issues I found makes it a 4.5/5 for me I won't comment much on Katangatari, but I'm enjoying it so far. I like the longer episodes since it gets me into it more. The only complaint I have, is that I hate how they did the characters eyes. It's just not the kind of animation I like. I'm sure people will disagree about that though.

Stuff from this season I tried so far: 91 Days: First ep was ok'ish. Not a big fan of revenge stories so it was kind of boring. Someone said it would be like Gangsta, as in forgettable (Nezgar?). Dunno, Gangsta was pretty bad in the end. For me it stuck in my mind as the anime that cut the last episode in the middle of everything... Dunno if 91 Days can manage that. First episode was etter than expected by judging the PV though. Will see if it can hold up. Mob Psycho 100 (2eps): Decent. I actually don't like the direction of the humour as much as I did in OPM. Orange (3eps): Kind of my favourite right now. Not insanely good but rather solid and enjoyable. Planetarian: Not bad but quite boring first ep. Have to see how it will continue although it seems it will be 5 episodes, so... Both characters are kind of annoying right now. Saiki Kusuo no Ψ-nan: First ep was decent, will watch more of it. Taboo Tatoo (1ep): Meh. The serious parts weren't half bad but the comedy was. Hope they will reduce that going further.

I don't think there was nearly enough buildup for the first kill. The show just kinda goes "oh by the way, this guy helped kill MC's family", and then he dies. The way it was handled was really underwhelming. I'd forgotten how long Amanchu took to get to the relevant material. Amaama AOTS. Alderamin is difficult to take seriously when the MC starts going off about science. Otherwise, it's been pretty standard fare. I think Battery might actually have a worse intro than DAYS, which is pretty damn impressive, because DAYS had a terrible start. Mob Psycho 100 is very well presented, but the actual content feels lacking. I'm pretty much only watching Rewrite for the nostalgia value at this point. I am also looking forward to the next few Jojo eps...
