This matchup is imbalanced! + Show Spoiler + The big thing with the Alliance civil war is Greenhill being the one leading the rebels, and other due to the fact that he doesn't really want to be fighting fellow Alliance members. On his side at least, it really isn't about the tactics side (not to say there aren't any tactical things Yang plans). The Alliance Civil War is largely focused on the different factions and how the Alliance is split between friends, and the consequences. On the Imperial side, eventually alot of moral issues come up. Plus Reinhard's enemies do have a few talented admirals among them. Talented admirals in, Merkatz and Fahrenheit, the latter of which hasn't really been given much of anything yet to prove that he actually knows what he is doing, other than just following Reinhard's orders at Astate. Plus there is the whole Iserlohn-like Fortress they have to deal with. As for the imbalance, well... All I will say is that imbalances occasionally makes underdogs that much more interesting to watch.  | ||

The OP song by ClariS sounds great (and it features 2 nude girls cuddling with each other as transformation sequence in the OP). I can't comment on the story or the art quality, because my version is untranslated and in a badly encoded 512x288 resolution. Still, it looks and sounds really nice. Edit: And just as I post this, there is a 720p raw available (but still encoded in a stupid way). Still, downloading to check again. I'm really wary of Shaft stuff, after the debacle that was Bakemonogatari (for me at least), so I have to check. Edit 2: Download complete. Looks well in 720p. Still, the last 5 minutes or so are again in a questionable art style, at least for me. But the music, animation and art is very good, so I guess I take a look at the translated version and maybe a few episodes. Now to wait for Infinite Stratos and Fractale ep1. | ||

Edit: Download complete! The resolution is pretty lol though, but what can you expect from a 42MB file. Watching now. Edit 2: Art is not bad for a Shaft production. Animation is rather choppy at times though. It's expected. | ||

I believe Southlight's point was that the law attacks current distribution methods, and that new distribution channels will allow sales to continue. The industry will definitely need to change if it wants to continue selling goods affected by this law to minors, but options are available to let them do this. It remains to be seen how effective or financially viable future business models may be for manga or anime producers, but I wouldn't write off content production here yet. | ||
