I love that series, some really fucked up shit happens in it, but Kaiji himself never gives up, against some of the worst humanity has to offer. A quintessential underdog story.

The fan disc A-1 came out rather recently if you haven't caught it yet (I dunno if you even played S). Benkei route on A-1 was super good.

ReZero: + Show Spoiler +Pretend mind break? I dunno. What's the difference between pretending to be insane or actually being insane, if both fuck up your ability to function? And he really couldn't function that well at all. Unless it let him learn something, which I don't know about. Rem - Damn, tough demon. Managing to crawl somehow after her arms and legs are all (at a minimum) severely dislocated and broken, as well as her neck twisted to the point of breaking, then dropped from 15 feet and left for dead. Very moving scene.
Puck is not so fluffy. And I don't know if that's Puck's power or Emilia's power causing the white-out blizzard.

ReZero: + Show Spoiler +I interpreted the "pretended madness" just as Betelgeuse's way of looking down on Subaru's state of mind. It's his way of saying "get on my level (of madness) or don't bother". It's pretty obvious that Subaru wasn't feigning anything and just trying to mentally hide after all the shit he's seen. What Betelgeuse found out is that Subaru isn't completely crazy to his core yet. His reason is hiding behind a protective layer of madness.
After his rebirth, he's probably further down the madness lane even though he looked more functional.
I'm enjoying this show very much. Stunning scenes.
Edit: I was skeptical about the previous RemRam+demon dog thingy arc in the past, but the plot actually developed nicely and made me care about the maids, also justified the need for Subaru and them to form emotional ties.

Damn ReZero. So good. Rem is amazing. + Show Spoiler + Puck's wrath at the end to add to it all was very good, a really nice scene with the endless winter and the credits just rolling.. Rem is pretty fucking awesome, she fought so hard for him.... The villain is a monster, a little over the top for my taste but he does his job as asshole you really want to see get his face caved in. Subaru's mental trauma really settling in now, the guy clearly is broken with bits of clarity/determination mixed in with just plain brokenness.

Wow During episode 1 and 2 I had no idea what I was actualy watching and thought it was just another SAO like show. Re ero has been fucking great these past 2 months.
|
Since I'm only watching Souma s2 currently, all these ReZero posts have me thinking I should start watching the show
|
reZero + Show Spoiler +goes from fluff to fucked up pretty good. That episode was easily the best of the series so far. It was extremely well done. The last scene with the snow going and the credits rolling was really well done.

Episode 15 of ReZero was so damn good... I think I need to watch it again.
edit: Still powerful episode when watching it a 2nd time. Noticed a few more things too.

+ Show Spoiler +Crazy awesome ending shot. I guess this was the power Puck mentioned at the beginning that would destroy everybody?

I feel like 91 Days will be half Baccano, half Gankutsuou
|
Rezero kinda started pretty shit but has really been killing it these past few episodes. But now you see a divide in people who liked the beginning but cant stand these episodes now. I just assume they wanted a standard white knight weeb fulfillment show so w/e. Hopefully Suburu will actually suffer "real" consequences instead of leaning on + Show Spoiler +

91 days is looking good.
Alderamin on the Sky manga is good but anime quality looks so meh?
|
I'm 3 episodes behind Re;Zero but the fact that the MAL score increased by nearly a full decimal after one episode is pretty impressive, I need to catch up to see what's so good about episode 15.

JoJo had foodgasms a couple of weeks ago so it's only fair.

That's the norm no ? I can't remember the last time when an anime shot had better artwork than it's corresponding manga panel.

Yeah i played S^^
I think A-5 is done now in Japan, but i haven't really gotten around the bonus discs (aside from laughing a whole lot because of the existence of a certain robot-route...)

They decided to use a shoujo artstyle for some reason even though the ln is way different in design. The staff has a good animation director though so it should be good
