The finals are insane. I don't want to spoil anything so watch it already. Just know that Chihaya is the manliest man in the universe.
Also wtf. Yuri is love. Yuri is life. It's so going to happen.

Chihaya battling through the pain even knowing it will ruin her chances in the individual tournament. Taichi refusing to give up. Then finally that last scene man. It was like 2 am when I saw it after watching rest of season in a row. Almost broke down in tears. So beautiful. The towel scene with them in an earlier episode was also amazing.

Chihaya man, I want to know what happened to her finger... Taichi overcame his greatest enemy: himself. I'm so glad for him! Since Chihaya probably isn't going to play on the individual tournament, what is going to happen now? Still show the individual tournament with Arata becoming the king? Maybe Taichi getting to Class A? Hm. Some of the most useless inventions in story-telling... Characters should be mostly defined by their actions in the story, not by flashbacks. Anyways, I think it's pretty ironic that people cry for that shit even if it's the FUCKING POINT of the show that those spies don't give away their real identity but use tons of fake ones... my god... That said, I haven't watched ep4 yet. I want to finish Chihayafuru first.

And eventually, I was thinking about Fate/Zero (Kotomine) and Tsukihime manga (apparently, the anime doesn't exist?)... Is there any epic story about Church (Executor like Ciel + Kotomine) vs Mages (like mages from the Fate series)? Feels like this could make for an amazing story (assuming we get a POV from both sides) Tsukihime anime is better than FSN anime, not that it's good or anything... the manga is pretty good, so is Melty Blood manga. There isn't much about church in Nasuverse, but if you want read about mostly mages Detective Waver (Lord El-Melloi II Case Files) novel is pretty enjoyable. Or Mahoyo

Maria the Virgin Witch Horizon? That's really pushing it though... On April 27 2016 11:17 ragz_gt wrote: Hellsing is first come to mind Vampires aren't mages! If you do watch Hellsing, XenOmega, watch Hellsing Ultimate. The other series is awful.

Omg yes, Taichi made it to Class A. I was almost sure that Chihaya's arrival would jinx him. I would have preferred a hug for the last scene but it still got me to shed a tear. I was a bit worried after Taichi declared Arata his enemy because of Chihaya. That's where he couldn't hold his jealousy anymore. Sometimes you can't hold it but I think one should be honest about it. He was to himself but I think he should be honest towards Arata as well. I was glad to see him recover and trying to win the match quickly for the sake of Chihaya, so that she could watch Arata's match. Which also proves again that Makenshi's assessment is wrong: He only tries to keep Arata out of Chihaya's life when he can't control his emotions anymore, which happens. Usually he tries to get them together for Chihaya's sake. I think it takes an enormous amount of self-control to actively try and get your loved one in touch with the person that rivals that love.

+ Show Spoiler + Damn you Oe, you are such a boss! In season 1, I thought it was so cute when she was noticing how Taichi felt about Chihaya. But the way she is routing for him and supporting him now...man Oe! The only thing I'm a bit bitter about is that there is no resolve to the romance. I didn't really expect it but I hoped for it. Damn, need a season 3! Madhouse, pls. For anybody who is reading the manga: Is the romance going to be resolved there? Don't say which pairing, just if it gets resolved.
