You can collect images without ever having to play, though.

Wanted to at least try it.

Fair enough. In most cases, unless I can read it, I don't bother. The only exceptions I can think of are SRW games.
|
Actually getting back around to finishing things I paused last season. HaruChika continues to be a case of false advertising - school music club but no it's really a series of mysteries being solved by some kid that apparently reads the script first and a girl that has more motivation than restraint.

First episode of Sakamoto desu ga? was actually hilarious, I'm loving it, plus it has a great soundtrack to boot

That thing is just great, it's wonderful, at least in my opinion. Then again, I'm not really too much of an action/shounen fan. But go try it out and maybe you'll like it, I did. It sounded pretty plain from the description. Care to elaborate? I wasn't impressed or anything and didn't include it in my original plan to watch list but then I saw someone post about it on facebook and decided I'd give it a shot and I enjoyed it I guess. + Show Spoiler +Lazy high school student who's always looking for the optimal ways to be as lazy as possible while his best friend carries him around when he falls asleep and pretty much takes care of him like a mother or something. + Show Spoiler +So they gave Nozaki's brother his own series? arguably rofl

The ending image with the MC + spy master + soldiers was pretty interesting

2 EPS into season.
Tell me what to watch and why I should watch it.
Please, and thanks.

Joker Game because it feels super serious and its set during WW2 era in Japan. You get to see some of the propaganda. Not sure how much place the actual war is gonna take though. The story, so far, focus on a MC (soldier) that has to work with spies.
Koutetsujou no Kabaneri : Attack on Titans remade into trains. Episode 1 was even more hype than AOT ep1! Great music, great atmosphere. The sense of despair is very true.
Re ero : Time travel. MC trying to find the perfect timelime (aka, everyone stay alive!)
Unsure about Terra Formar : It's different from season 1 (new studio). Less violent.
Sousei no Onmyouji
Cerberus : Feels like a generetic adventure show.
Bungou Stray Dogs : Episode 1 wasn'T enough for me to judge the show.
|
Seisen Cerberus: Incredibly generic, including all the stupid nonsense that comes along with run-of-the-mill fantasy titles: Bad dialogue, uninspired character design, and some incredibly obnoxious characters. Judging by the first 2 episodes, it has really nothing going for it. First series I dropped this season.
Bungou Stray Dogs: Hard to judge with only 1 episode thus far. The first one was full of cringe dialogue and characters doing weird poses. I am not sure whether it tried to be funny (in which case it failed horribly) or if there is something more to it than just being silly. The sad thing about it is that it wastes A LOT of screentime with characters making stupid faces and poses. If ep 2 does not improve, this will be the next show for me to drop.
Koutetsujou no Kabaneri: I don't think that calling it AoT 2.0 just from the first episode alone is fair. I appreciate that it does not waste too much time with forced exposition. It looks like a very solid show thus far, time will tell if there is even more to it than that. The art was somewhat inconsistent imho. While most of it looks great, some of the character close-ups looked completely out of place... especially the female (lead?) characters: + Show Spoiler [example] +] ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/vWA4pLe.png) Maybe it's just me, but this looks... weird
Flying Witch: Only 1 episode thus far as well. Not sure where this show is going... First episode was somewhat enjoyable but it needs to do more in order to keep me interested.
Mayoiga: Oh boy... This is all over the place. It had nice moments (hippopotamus song), but also some that made me facepalm. I have still no idea how this will unfold but I'll keep watching just to see the train wreck that it might become.
Re: Zero: My personal favorite thus far. It felt like a generic sucked-into-fantasy-world type of series at first but showed its potential towards the end of the first episode. Characters look interesting and the story has potential. Really enjoyed watching it.

+ Show Spoiler [Joker Game ep2] +Liked it a lot. Very good closure to the case. Also made the MC a billion times more likeable. I somehow missed that he was just a soldier and not a spy in ep1. Now it makes much more sense why they made a fool out of him. His resolve is nice. I think this show has potential.

Joker Game and Koutetsujou no Kabaneri both had a pretty good start. Those are the shows with a "serious" tone to go for this season imho.
As for something light-hearted: Flying Witch was pretty nice (SoL+inherent comedy), I would recommend in it off of the first ep. Kuma Miko is apperently hit or miss comedy. Mayoiga ("horror") is a trainwreck. If you liked Another for the comical effect, you should check out this one as well. Sakamoto desu ga? is ok.
Others: Kiznaiver was ok, lots of edge though. Stray Dogs was amazingly boring with a stupid amount of boring slap-stick humour.
Oh and s2 of Ushio to Tora is airing, for the case you have watched s1.

Flying witch is the only show that is saving this season. Just ask Kaal about it @tonight. Also the only episode I've seen yet o/
Time to watch hundred for emnjay

Koutetsujou no Kabaneri, what show is this? I watch 99% of everything on CR or funamation, so most of the time it has english titles.
|
Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress, I believe.
|
I'm not really seeing anything on CR or Funamation. The trailer looks cool so maybe I'll DL it if I need to.
|
I think its getting Streamed on Amazon Prime or something odd like that.
