I guess yukina will get a mecha next episode Sousei no omnyouji + Show Spoiler + nice, they get engaged already and next episode is school hijinks with a fight at the end. Haifuri + Show Spoiler + I thought this was GuP boats version but looks like there is a super serious plot with the girls being stuck in a conspiracy. Also idk but should I continue watching ace attorney. | ||

I thought it was ok, not much more though. As for Stray Dogs, I think it's very different but it's hard to explain. I'll try: Kekkai Sensen had a lot of the "funny faces" which I'm not entirely against it but it didn't feel like the entire show was riding on it. Kekkai Sensen had kind of quirky characters, it had an intriguing setting (the city) and also added some genuinely funny jokes (not many though) as well as other ridiculous scenes. Stray Dogs in comparison is at least 50 % faces screaming "hey funny! hahahahahahuehuehuehue" and the rest doesn't really feel relevant at all. It just feels like Stray Dogs is a very poor attempt at creating something "funny" without much substance. That being said, I would not say Kekkai Sensen was good. It was miles better than Stray Dogs because it was more diverse and sophisticated I guess but that's rather because they did a terrible job with Stray Dogs so far. Also: Yes it was the same studio but that doesn't mean much. It's another director and script writer. Kekkai Sensen also had a source while Stray Dogs is original. | ||

Anyway, it's not my favorite but I wouldn't drop it either. I had some laughs for sure even though I can see people disliking the comedy, because it certainly isn't always funny and when it isn't it looks like shit. edit: From what I read on the forum the anime so far focuses too much on comedy, perhaps the manga is different in that regard since it's not tagged as "comedy". | ||

I guess it comes down to your sense of humor. Making silly faces and poses is just something that I rarely find funny at all and in the first 2 episodes, Bungou Stray Dogs has not managed to make me even smirk once. The odd thing is that I started watching this series thinking that it was somewhat serious since it's not tagged as a comedy and was rated R on MAL. The "Seinen" should've been a warning, though. I am sure that there are people out there who will enjoy the series. Probably the same that gave Kekkai Sensen a 10/10 rating... In the end I am simply not the target audience and have, as a result, dropped the series as well. | ||

Oh sorry, I think I confused the part of being original with Kiznaiver. That one ist original, right? Anyways, I noticed another point that is bothering me with Stray Dogs that didn't really bother me in Kekkai Sensen. Nezgar kinda touches this topic as well. The show (Stray Dogs) presents itself as kind of serious, the topic pretents to be serious but the tone is completely different because it's just stupid faces all the time. Kekkai Sensen was different in this regard because, while it was also partly serious, the whole setting was ridiculous. The comedy felt more inherent to the world while in Stray Dogs it feels thrown on top of it. In the end, it's like Nezgar said. The humour is absolutely un-funny to me, I didn't even smirk once. I was bored as hell watching ep1 (I wrote about it here). This is why I rated it 3/10 and dropped it. It's not worth my time, especially because there are so many potentially good shows this season, as well as shit shows that are far more entertaining still. | ||
