Honestly, if that's just your opinion that he is alive, I don't care. What I get bugged about is when people start saying hes alive like its 100% fact. Its like you people think "omg u think he ded? u not intelligent omg look how smart geass is they had an emperor rocket!", and then that bugs me. I think it is pretty clear that Lulouch is dead, but I wouldn't even bother to argue it unless otherwise provoked. Haha alright, I'm not one of those people, at least so I believe. I accept both ways, it's just that when someone completely denies that there was any possibility the creators purposefully left some hints in there suggesting that + Show Spoiler + Lelouch is alive, I feel he is... missing out I guess. Again, my view is that canonically, he is dead, which was obvious, but you can also interpret the hints and conclude he is alive. Show nested quote + Heh right now I am watching Kanon, To Love Ru, Gunslinger Girl, and i'll be starting Tsubasa: RC, all different in there genres but I'm one of those people who feels in order to actually say you enjoy anime you need to be willing to watch all the genres not stick to just one (i.e all the people who only enjoy action animes) Haha cough cough, One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, which honestly don't even have good animation quality considering they are action anime. Look at that one fight scene in the Yukine arc in Clannad, it's animated sooo much better than a typical fight in those shows, and it's not even an action show, it's romcom (lol useful term just learned here yesterday) / sliceoflife / drama. Anyways, have you seen Clannad? If not it's by the same company as Kanon, and obviously it's also better (arguable) since it came out later and so reasonably the company should have improved. Also, I think I'll check out Black Lagoon then... one of my friends checked it out and said it was really cool. So I guess its the action is really cool? Not that I have a problem with that. About LoGH: what's so great about it? I mean, is it a great show, or a classic? Or both? http://myanimelist.net/anime/820/Legend_of_the_Galactic_Heroes Great show and a classic. Its an old show (80s era), so doesn't get talked about very much. Recently a group of guys in this thread started watching it, and I just finished it myself. Its a human-centric space epic. The description of it on MAL is pretty good. As long as you take website ratings with a grain of salt, its ranked as the 2nd best anime on MyAnimeList, despite its popularity (as in, number of people who have watched it) not being as high as many more recent shows.

Ok thanks. Wow haven't checked out MAL's anime list, it seems opinions differ quite a lot and I haven't found a good anime site that shares my opinions close enough for their lists to be useful. But yeah, strange I never heard of it. Like you said probably because it's old. Perhaps I'll check it out xD @Phtes LUCKY LUCKY LUCKY :D

Some of us know the two shows better as "What the author of FMP was dicking with instead of writing the last 2 vols of the series" Seriously I can't appreciate that show at all because of how it felt like that was the sole reason we had wait so long for FMP's conclusion.

Druaga was a cute series, though honestly I just didn't enjoy it that much. The humor in it was decent, but there was simply too much parody and meta involved for me to take the characters seriously. If we were to separate the funny and the serious moments I think it would be a lot better to watch, but having the two together just really detract from the overall experience. Also, reading the latest bungaku shoujo SS, Konoha's sister gets a story of her own. Yay. I knew the author was going to use her at some point when she had the little girl talking to Touko. This more or less guarantees her presence in the next part of the series, a happy turn of events for a siscon. And the monogatari series needs another like 5 seasons so we can cover up to all the fun stuff in the latest couple of books. Hachikuji as an adult was an interesting sight.

the scene where Megumi attacks Mutou? Up to this point I was like "ok it uses some cliche tactics but this is still fun if not creepy" (its hard for anime to be actually IRL SCARY, especially when hair is so colorful and gravity defying, [although I do appreciate the hair color as a way to present a large number of semi-complex characters with less confusion]). I mean, maybe when there were 3 different parties slowly figuring it out it was still a horror (the kids, the doc, the young priest), but I mean, by the 6/7 episode we almost know everything. The horror is completely gone and it turns into a character driven/philosophical anime for the most part with a few great scenes (oh dear the operating room scene O_O) In the beginning there was an actual sense of HORROR (Natsuno too freaked out to open the window, etc), but after we started seeing LONG exposes involving members of the shiki faction, it was hitting us over the head with weak philosophical bs when they really had some AMAZING SUSPENSE AND AMAZING MAIN CHARACTERS. Part of what makes it suspenseful is wanting to know more, but we know so much halfway through the series it just makes the second half seem like a long drawn out fight scene in some oldschool fighting tournament anime. I REALLY REALLY liked the first half of the series, and in the beginning I was captivated and probably more creeped out than by any other animu. But does anyone else think they squandered the atmosphere of "horror" too early. Massive blood and guts does not really equal horror in my book, I want to be on pins and needles to see what happens next. sorry forgot spoilers

+ Show Spoiler + AND ARE YOU F***ING KIDDING ME? How can they kill the best character in the show 1/3 of the way in? Why was this even allowed to air? I have never felt worse about a plot shift in any anime/manga ever. This just ruined the anime for me and I never want to see it again. My friend who told me to watch it in the first place says it gets even better, but I can't believe that. Is it really any good after, or am I justified in dropping the series? + Show Spoiler + Sorry I just needed to vent after watching that, it made me so sad and angry at the same time

Have you never watched an anime before where a good character died? Kamina was awesome and all, and his death was very sad, but dropping the show because of that is crazy. Like Spazer said, you just have to endure a few episodes of all the characters doing the exact same thing you are doing right now (lol crying), and then they decide to man up and be awesome again (like what you should do). Stick with it!

+ Show Spoiler + Damn, I am amazed how well Reinhart handled this. While food is very important in any major invasion, I didn't see the scorched earth idea being used in LoGH. Well played, Empire. I'm wondering how Phezzan is gonna affect this war now. They got enough wealth to sustain the alliance invasion? That's weird. It's a single planet. But I guess it's still possible. The show turned from Horror into something else in the second part. It really wasn't the same thing after. However, I did enjoy how it all blew up and everyone died. But I do not think the horror disappeared too early. I feel like the progression was great. In any case, I don't see how I would have done it better. It's true that massive gore does not equal horror, but I didn't watch the second part for this. I watched for all the characters dying/characters going crazy. I understand and agree with what you mean, but I still think it's an amazing show.
