I managed to watch the first episodes of the following and plan on watching 2 more anime. 1 has been dropped so far. Any other anime worth watching? So far, Winter 2016 is very promising! Dropped : Active Raid : The first episode wasn'T convincing at all. We have an immature cast of police force. The transformation requires the MCs to wear only underwear? No thank you. Felt like a generic action anime without any depth. I won't give this anime another episode. Might check the reviews later on, but so far, nothing inspiring. Watching Boku Dake ga Inai Machi : Very excited about this anime. Seems to be a mystery/detective anime resolving around time travel and murder. Definitely to my tastes! Bubuki Buranki : the first episode was exciting. I enjoyed the visuals (I know some didn't). At first, I thought it was anime about a post-apocalyptic world in which robots have invaded it. Now, I'm not too sure (I guess "power-wielders" vs other wielders?). Definitely caught my attention and I'm intrigued to watch more, see how the story evolved. I'm a little bit cautious though, because I feel like it could end up poorly! Dimension W : Very hyped after the first episode, but cautious at the same time. Felt the first episode was solid, the universe seems interesting. Wondering how the show will evolve from here? A cat-robot? Sign me up! Divine Gate : The first episode was confusing. It wasn't interesting or their universe wasn't presented well enough, IMO. People with super power? Cool! School setting? MC that is OP but denies it? Beurk. Drop the school and give us more rogue-user vs Police-power-users. Gate S2 : The first episode lacked focus, but overall, I'm still happy we are getting more Gate (over none). What I mean by lacking focus is that I felt 20ish minutes aren't enough to show ALL characters. Instead, they should concentrate on developping one party, and developping another one the next episode. Hai to Gensou no Grimgar : First episode was average. Seems to be another caught in a MMO anime. Except, there was scene where they were discussing boobs size and it felt unneeded and dragged the whole episode down. There are still some redeeming qualities (such as the MCs being beaten by a Goblin, the MCs not being overpowered, the different classes, etc), but I will give it a few more episodes. I think the MCs definitely have the potential to grow. Luck and Logic : The first episode had some interesting moments, but overall, it felt lackluster compared to some other shows from this season. Let's give this some more episodes and see if it can become any better. Phantasy Star 2 : Strange first episode. The visuals are interesting, but I dislike their universe (not inside the game). Random kid got noticed by school President (without surprise, the most attractive girl in school). First job : play a game... Seems like a dumb scenario, but let's give this a few more episodes. Plan to Watch : Ajin : I've read the first chapters of the manga awhile ago. I don't remember it clearly (immortals guys/girls put in a prison I think). Sounds interesting. Schwarzesmarken : The name is funny.

It's interesting, and I learned something cultural. (Rakugo.) Seems slow paced, but it's got a longer run time. Ooya-san wa Shishunki - Because apparently shorts can get shorter. Still, cute. Time to start Pandora in the Crimson Shell Ghost Urn. The title makes me think it's a parody of some kind... and now that I've watched it, it's cute. But I see some philosophical linkage to other Ghosts and Shells. But who cares - full tsun catgirl robot. I'm in.

Boku dake ga Inai Machi - Solid ep 1. Durarara!!x2 Ketsu - Four seasons in and I still enjoy it. Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu - Some parts seemed a bit off, and I'm not a fan of the rakugo itself (though the emphasis on body language was intriguing). That said, the drama was solid. Maybe Bubuki Buranki - I like the designs. That CG sure is distracting though. Goddamnit Sanzigen. Sekkou Boys - That was a terrible first ep, but I guess it was mostly setup. Haruchika - This increasingly looks like one of those mystery shows that isn't really a mystery show. Shoujo-tachi wa Kouya wo Mezasu - Not gonna lie, I'd have dropped this already if it weren't for the promise of Romeo Tanaka. Grimgar - They started with a fight against goblins. Decent hook. Then they transitioned into a gag-inducing SAO setup. I don't see this lasting long in my list. Schwarzesmarken - Better than expected? But then again, Total Eclipse also had a decent first episode... + Show Spoiler + They also did the whole "look at how brutal this world is because we show someone dying in the first episode" bit. I get why they do it, but it still makes me roll my eyes with how much they play it up. The way the PTSD girl was introduced was particularly strange. It's like they skipped through a couple chapters of introductions. Katia's going to moralfag a bunch and annoy the shit out of me. I can feel it. At least there's a character I actually like. That's better than Shoujo-tachi. Something about the art bugs me too. I think it's the eyes. It's like they took the eyelashes from the nineties and cranked them up to 11. Dropped Dagashi Kashi - No point watching a comedy if I don't like the jokes. Prince of Stride - Not gonna watch a boring fake sport when I've already got two anime based on real ones. Unless they do gokukoku no brynhildr levels of content cutting, I doubt they'll even reach that part.

Phantom world: kyoani animation. Also its cute Boku dake ga inai machi: highly acclaimed series. Good atmosphere and execution in 1st episode Muv luv schwarzesmarken: that was super cute Grimgar: low level isekai characters is kind of new for anime. I like the artstyle a lot Rakugo: was interesting. Konatsu is cute Shoujotachi wa kouya: romeo+minatosoft. Also kuroda being like yukino/kuroyukihime is win for me Divine gate: liked how it looks. Wind girl is cute Gate: s2 Akagami no shirayuki: s2 Maybe Luck & logic: the supporting characters seem useless. Dimension w: idk...... Kind of generic. Dropped Active raid: ugly. The characters are annoying. Boring. Dagashi kashi: didn't really laugh. Haven't watched yet Bahamut Ajin Not sure if I missed anything here but this is what I remember from my head

Osomatsu-san Dimension W Bubuki Buranki Schwarzesmarken Rakugo With exception of Osomatsu-san, which is a carry-over from last season, I don't know whether I will watch any of the shows until the end. Rakugo was decent but bored me at times. Dimension W and Bubuki Buranki could both be decent or horrible. Schwarzesmarken seems to be the most promising so far. Planning: Shirayuki-hime s2 (definite watch if it doesn't turn to shit) Ajin Saving: Durarara Boku Dake Dropped: Sekkou Boys
