Japan is a cellphone country. They are literally replacing most computers. You'll probably need a laptop or something for work but cellphone works in 99% of other cases. Though of course, there's gonna be at least one person who uploads it to the internet. That always happens.
I wouldn't say phones are replacing computers in Japan so much as computers were never a big thing to begin with.

Best Animes for 2015 JoJo Part 3 - The end half was pretty much perfect. Looking forward to Part 4. Mushishi Suzu no Shizuku - It was solid. Not much else to say.
Best Thing that Nobody Watched of 2015 Yuri Kuma Arashi - Probably the most coherent Ikuhara anime ever, even if it's no Utena.
Most Surprising of 2015 Overlord - I expected it to suck, but it turned out to be decently entertaining. Not a bad show at all, although the monologuing wasn't great. Gundam: IBO - I have very little faith in TV Gundams these days. Imagine my surprise when this actually turned out to be good.
Stockholm Syndrome Award for 2015 Arslan Senki - You wasted 500 minutes of my life on a bog standard story with no real twists on the promise of another LoGH. Thanks.

Worst anime that I wasted time on of 22015 Kancolle - All you had to do was adapt the fucking 4koma. Instead we got some other bullshit.
Shoutout to Maria the Virgin Witch for having the best depiction of medieval warfare ever, but having an irredeemable story and awful characters. Shoutout to Death Parade for taking an enjoyable short and completely butchering the concept. Shoutout to Gangsta for attempting to build a gritty world, then ruining it with powerlevels. Bonus points for having the shittiest ending I've seen all year, only rivaled by Oregairu s2.
Most Disappointing of 2015 Idolmaster Cinderella Girls - No Namassuka, no fake trailers, very little in the way of fun eps. A far cry from the first series.
Shoutout to Garo: Guren no Tsuki. I put up with this shit for 9 episodes in the hopes that it would be a worthy successor to Honoo no Kokuin. It wasn't. Good thing there's still the movie.
Guilty Pleasure Strike Witches: Operation Victory Arrow - It has Strike Witches in the title. s3 soon. Concrete Revolutio - The designs are cool. That's about it.
'Elem Award' for Most Overrated Anime of 2015 Fate Stay/Night: Unlimited Blade Works - Ufotable has a reputation for having good animation these days, but honestly, I'm not a fan of their direction. They could be doing a lot of cool stuff, but it all seems so standard. I think this is most apparent in their OPs.
Also, the pacing is shit.
Top 3 OPs of 2015 One Punch Man is #1 by far for me. A high octane JAM Project song with suitably intense visuals? Count me in. Rolling Girls' OP was catchy as hell. It being a cover of a classic punk rock song is also in line with the other songs of the series. The visuals are nothing to write home about, but they're competent and avoid a lot of the common cliches for OPs. Jojo Part 3, specifically the OP for the last few episodes. The regular OP is pretty good, but what they pulled off was clever, incredibly fitting, and hype as fuck. Very memorable. Frankly, it's amazing how well thought out all of the Jojo OPs are.
Shoutout to Shaft for continuing to do unconventional things with their OPs. I'm glad someone's trying. Hell, even the OP for Nisekoi was great. In a minute and a half, they manage to cycle through all the characters, show off their respective archetypes, and tell a cute mini-story that's representative of the series. Who else does this shit?
Top 3 EDs of 2015 Kekkei Sensen had an awesome ED. It really emphasized the fun aspect of the series. Catchy too.
I can't remember any other EDs, therefore they are all shit.
Pay to win is a great punchline. Almost on par with time paradogs.

Best Male Characters of 2015 Take-P in Idolmaster Cinderella Girls. He practically stole the show. What a strange place to find such a great character. Akabayashi from Durarara. The coolest motherfucker in the entire show. It's me, Dio.
Shoutout to Mikazuki from Gundam IBO for being a reasonable MC. Truly a rarity.

Best OP of 2015 Exterminate is soooo good. Nana's vocals are showcased almost as beautifully as Synchrogazer after Vitalization fell a bit flat. All recordings of the song are actually just really bad compared to hearing it live, so I'm guessing only ils knows what I mean.
Best ED of 2015 Glorious Break as a song is not as great as Exterminate, but it fit the ending to Symphogear so freaking well. At this point it's basically just sasuga Agematus Noriyasu.
Shuumatsu no Love Song - Kindan no Resistance carried the first half of Cross Ange hard but Shuumatsu managed to take the place for the latter half, even if not quite as good. Also that acoustic arrangement was soooo beautiful (same with Kindan's rearranged intro too). Nana what a goddess.
Best Scene of 2015 Honestly, probably that Dio scene. It was so satisfying.
Best Female Characters of 2015 #1 is #1 even if anime got butchered. Shoukaku is a waifukaku Shinoa's back was so heavy, but still she tried so hard.

Best Seiyuu for 2015 The correct answer is Ozawa Ari. Riding her popularity wave from last year's Chiyo-chan, she completely dominated every other seiyuu in terms of work increase. She proved she has a range (how large is still in question) instead of just getting typecast roles, garnered attention from multiple different directors as a result, showed off a hilarious and fun personality in a variety of radio shows (despite being incredibly inexperienced), and even managed to carry live events by being a based qt. Ari-chan is the Ten-chan of 2015.
Anata Wo Zutto Aishiteru. Okay, I haven't seen it either, but I can't imagine the sequel to one of the best fighting dinosaur movies of all time was bad.
We need to do another group viewing for that when it comes out on BD.
