Remains fun and good humor. I must admit that episode 1 of Owarimonotagari made me believe it would be more of a mystery/detective anime. I guess I was tricked  Are all the spirits/legends/monsters fictions? Or are they related to Japanese culture? | ||

It's episodic as far as cases go (maybe 1-2 episodes per case later on) but there also seems to be a little bit of backstory/relationship/mystery going on in the backround. MC girl is a "genius". People complain about her scientific approach and I can't blame them, it isn't really handled well. It doesn't really interfere with the enjoyment of the show though as long as you take off your scientific glasses. - Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry is a fake harem romance. It's quite trashy with lots of cheesy lines etc. Entertainment value is decent because of that. - Gakusen Toshi Asterisk is basically Cavalry with a higher budget. MCs are less likeable to me, entertainment value is a lot lower because of those reasons. - that shingeki academy show is meh. Quite some funny scenes but a lot of cringe-worthy ones as well. Episode 1 was decent but ep2 didn't hold up to it. I decided to watch one more before I drop it. - Utawerumono is decent so far. It has ok action, a somewhat decent fantasy setting (for the beginning). The story moves very slow so far so we don't know a lot. Aside from that, give The Perfect Insider a try. It's a mystery show. However, unlike Sakurako-san it seems to be one case for the entire cour instead of being episodic. Setting, mood and conversations are flowing well so far. Although this might be a show that is better watched once finished. We will have to see how it is going to develop. If you like crazy parodies and senseless humour give Osomatsu-san a try. I know humour is a delicate topic but one episode won't hurt I guess. Okay here's the thing, also about your earlier question about wether it has story to it: The entirety of it basicly covers the highschool years of Araragi and it is hinted at that something big (?) happened during that time. Not always from his PoV but it often times will be that. Bakemonogatari is a linear introduction to most of the important characters to have a starting point of some sort. After that it jumps around a bit. Hanamonogatari in particular happens while he's already in University for example and as such plays after all "things" are over pretty much. Kizumonogatari is a "how everything started". Stuff happens inbetween, we don't know exactly what the stuff is yet but it's getting somewhere. As you move on those stories fit together like pieces of a puzzle and you come closer to figuring out what's going on with every story. There's a reason every story starts out with a date displayed in ep1 of the arc so that you can put it into relation to the other stories and sort it in. Like I said about Owari-ep2, when they where at the middle school I went "oh nice, so that's that time that innitiated the medusa arc!" and it comes more and more together. So is there a story? We assume so, we don't know what it is yet but something happened for sure. We know for a fact that stuff (that more specific would be a spoiler for you) happened to people but we don't know why and wether the people we suspect to be behind everything really are behind everything. All the stuff about Gaen comes to mind that was happening during Neko:shiro. That for example is (apparently) covered in 2nd vol of Owari. Not sure if it'll be covered in the anime. (That being said, Author is famous for writing fake mystery novels. Could very well all together end up being just that. If you want to know probably ask Ragz or Eca. I'm not in s3 of the books) | ||

+ Show Spoiler + Akane- HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLY SHIT. SHE'S ADORABLE. I DON"T EVEN. HOW IS SHE SO DAM CUTE. Honestly one day if I have a daughter I hope to hell she's not as cute as Akane, my drive to spoil her would be too high. Incest Twins - Fairly interesting but didn't see much of them. The old one(stoic one?) seems to be the quiet super dangerous while the Karen one is more quick to act. Shiki - I love the whole old school experienced crime boss persona. Shiki does it so dam well and he just happens to share the same name as a certain girl in the top rankings Akabayashi - This guys man. He's so smooth it's incredible. My favorite new character of the show. He's the "muscle" counterpart of Shiki's more schemer persona. These guys just embody what I remember while reading Godfather. The type of old school crime guys that have some kind of internal honor which makes them seem like rather nice guys even while they do some bad stuff. In story filled with kids and child like adults they just bring tie everything together. Vorona - This one I'm a big conflicted about. She's hot. So dam hot and her conflicted feelings about Shizuo are really cute but I just don't really know how she fits into everything. Her little spat with Akane was so freaking cute though. That's it for the characters. There were a few more like the dojo chief and his sister(Mikage?) but the introductions were so fast that it's hard to really feel like they are characters in the story. OH SHIT I FORGOT HOW CUTE AKANE WAS IN THE DOJO. Dammit. As for the story, well it's really ramping up. I was so confused about the Yodogiri's changing persons constantly. Thought it was just my usual terrible ability at remembering names but then that reveal at the end. Really kicking himself for not figuring that out. There being 3 different Saika's was kind of weird. Feel Saika is basically becoming the authors deus ex to make certain events happen. When in doubt, Saika will find a way! Misaki Kuno did such a good job. I never liked her in Log Horizon but dam Akane man. Why so cute. | ||
