[23:06:27] <ecael> not really, although if you tried really hard maybe [23:06:29] <ecael> even in source [23:06:40] <ecael> was standard nishio fake mystery for narrative Also since there's probably some people in here that aren't as caught up with it: Owarimonogatari was the beginning of the third and "final" season in the source if we leave out Koyomimonogatari (that's all over the place anyways). Either way point being, ZokuOwarimonogatari was made out to be the last one in the series. Until you finished reading and on the last page was a "see you later" note from author. At that point in time people didn't really know if that's a troll, if there's gong to be more or if it's going to be more from him but on other series. TL;DR 愚物語 (Orokamonogatari) is out on japanese amazon ever since today: ![]() and at least one more has been announced for 2016. So seems like it's going to continue.

Although I confess I did try to wind him up a bit. And you definitely cant accuse Unleashed of being hypocritical since he was mad about me being condescending not about me disliking it. So his comments were pretty consistent with any arguments he might have had with you in the past. There is a difference between being an unadulterated asshole about anything and everything that doesnt fit your mold and having a one off difference of opinion. So while you might find some similarities there I wouldnt put that exchange anywhere close to your league. On topic. + Show Spoiler + Is this Utawareremono a sequel as in a new incarnation of the iceman/God dude or someat? The first was was like 10 years ago and I only roughly remember it. Still unsure if I will watch it

There's really no way for you to figure out the culprit by yourself and that was just author trolling us again. Probably more emphasis on the whole "Ougi knows more than she should" as she's clearly made out to be shady as fuck from our pov. We just don't know yet if that is yet another troll (unless you've read source). Ok cool this answered my thoughts of finishing the whole Monogatari series in 12-13 episodes. Thanks Toad

I had heard shin getter robo was a good entry-point into the series but i still have so many questions 8 episodes in. I hope they get answered, otherwise i guess i'll have to go watch the version from 74. Also, I don't think i've had any arguments with Sentenal. Not any that i remember anyway.

Not any that i remember anyway. No worries, I wasn't referring to you there. Which Shin Getter are you watching? The Getter series is weird in that there are like 4 different entries, all called "Shin Getter Robo". There is Shin Getter (aka New Getter), there is Shin Getter (aka Change! Getter Robo Armageddon), there is Shin Getter vs Neo Getter, and finally the manga which is also called Shin Getter.

Thanks Toad this season of owarimonogatari only covers the first and 2nd vol anyways as far as I know. So there'd still be 3rd vol of owari and the "final" vol ZokuOwari left. As well as the koyomi stuff which will probably end up OVAs?

Its where I started with the series. Of all the OVAs, its the only one that does the origin story for the characters and more or less introduces the main ideas of the series, while the other two OVAs are made for people who already know who Ryouma , Hayato, and Saotome are, etc. Anyway, New Getter is pretty much a complete story, so most of your questions should be answered by the end. Of the 3 Getter OVAs, I'd rank them Getter Robo Armageddon>New Getter>Shin vs Neo. Armageddon, specifically, is one of my top 5 animes. The most "complete" version of the story would be the Manga. Although I say "complete" because while there is a satisfying conclusion to the first half of the series, the second half "ended" with the mangaka dying after one of the most ball breaking cliffhangers ever.

Right, its crying when other people do it. Oh the hypocrisy. I think when it comes to meeting those sorts of expectations theres a clear winner. I wouldnt want to infringe. Cheers

We actually began watching New Getter because we wanted to watch armageddon, so that's probably the next thing we'll watch. Good to hear that it seems to be well recieved then. I'm really enjoying how unpredictable the show is, in a good way, i never know what's happening next and it keeps me pretty engaged(I keep thinking one thing is gonna happen and then something completely different happens). Plus all the characters are fairly crazy, in a refreshing way.

And of course, don't forget, there will also be the Kizu movies (basically explaining the catalyst event that happens in spring break, which has been talked about throughout the entire series and is the basis for certain quirks Araragi has including in his shadow and was the first anime to be in production but never finished or announced to be released until last Saturday) the first of which is coming out in theaters in January of 2016. Iirc, it's "Iron Blooded". So yeah, basically the entire Monogatari series is a bit longish, although some of them are only four episodes. (Actually, I think the longest ones are four episodes, if you go by the specific story title such as Kabukimonogatari, Otorimonogatari, etc. Not sure if Bakemonogatari is broken down that way, but every character has a brief arc of couple episodes.) Also, the important thing to remember is this - Hanekawa is awesome, and doesn't deserve the crap she goes through, nyaa?
