If you prefer generic fantasy moeshit over critically-acclaimed oldschool seinen adaptation, at least do it silently, so others don't follow a bad example.
In other news, new Gundam is meh. Great production value, close to zero originality.

How is Young Black Jack seinen. It's shounen. And it shows in the writing. Sure it's not the worst thing I have watched but it definitely has very shounen-esque things in the writing department. Like for example that girl repeating the "wow, he is fast" phrase like 5 times within 2 minutes. Or the fact that nothing is done in detail but covered by the fact how awesome he is. At least learn your facts before telling other people to keep silent.

This thread seems more grumpy then I remember. What's the deal, guys?

People are pissed when they are pissed.
It's also long since we had a zoo poll or a shit taste argument so aggression is accumulating for too long.

This is what happens when we aren't all gushing over best girls. Harems are love and peace.
On that topic. How could I forget how cool Frederica Greenhil was. She prob deserves an honourable mention on the list. Hilda is a bit too scary for me. Maybe that's better. Hmmmmmm

Frederica best girl in LotGH.

Nothing that really interest me this season except for OPM. I'll keep watching Noragami and I also watched Comet Lucifer.

Anyways, I'll agree that so far there aren't many gems in comparison to earlier seasons. But many bad/mediocre shows. Hope some of the mediocre shows will get better, it's still early.

This is true for every season.

I probably missed many bad ones then last season, as I dropped almost nothing instantly. And some of the things I then dropped were probably watchable, like Aoharu (?), Classroom Crisis and that mystery whose name I don't remember. But yeah sure I won't disagree that even that season had lots of trash.
Although you bolded the mediocre part too, so yeah nvm. ^^

So far I've seen heavy object, rakudai, asterisk, gundam, opm, lance n masque, and K return of kings. Hmmm. Still got a lot more episode 1s to watch.
I'm on ep 17 of nhk ni yokoso and the suffering in this is too good. I love these struggles resulting from some form of autism. Also I like that the characters have quite an amount of depth to and that they all suffer from some sort of social problem. Misaki is best girl.

Lucifer Comet : The first episode was decent, although, I'm still not sure where the story is going (Boy protects girl from army?)
Owarimonogatari : Ougi, such an interesting/attractive character. Lover her design! The first minutes of this episode were incomprehensible... that being said, the second part turned it into an interesting anime. I'm looking foward episode 2! For those of you who have seen the first episode and who may have been able to follow the story better than me... was it possible to find the culprit without Ouji revealing it/explaining it?
I noticed, on MAL, that this show also appears to be part of a serie. Are all the shows as 'strange' as this one?
|
Wait, you're watching owarimonogatari without having watched any of the other monogatari series? You're basically starting in the middle of one of the later arcs.
|
Xeno did you just watch Owarimonogatari without having watched any other Monogatari? lol.
The "Monogatari" shows are all part of one series.
http://myanimelist.net/anime/5081/Bakemonogatari That's the start. Then it goes Nisemonogatari -> Nekomonogatari -> Monogatari Second season -> Hanamonogatari -> Tsukimonogatari -> Owarimonogatari. So you just started watching it on like season 7. I rather enjoy the series so recommend it but it can be rather wordy and pretentious at times. All you really need to know going in is that Neo is wrong and Crab is the best.

Yes, they are all kind of strange. I'm not a fan of the series, but lots of others here are.

Young Black Jack is it's adaptation. And judging by your logic Kaiji is a shonen too. But it's a useless banter anyway, because the main point was about general, not genre preferences.

I think you got things the wrong way. Young Black Jack only started serialisation in 2011 and is a prequel to Black Jack. Black Jack has an adaption called Black Jack and the prequel manga is now getting an adaption as well. I don't know how the original Black Jack was because I have neither read or watched it. I was talking about the new one, which is definitely shounen.
Anyways, I dislike generic fanasy moeshit. I assume you think Comet Lucifer is? From the first episode it isn't but it might turn into one. If so, I will be sad and drop it.

generic fantasy moeshit is best.
Speaking of which, started reading Konosuba after Ragz told me about it. I only made it past the prologue so far and have to re-DL the scans over here but seems pretty funny so far.

Fantasy moeshit is the best. Not generic ones though
