Haven't watched the original gundam either but I did Unicorn which obviously meant I didn't get all the enjoyment out of Unicorn. I'll just have to watch both one day. Maybe after my LoGH watch. Just out of curiosity do people prefer Yang over Reinhard?

I'd rate it 9 or 8 Funnily enough, I often cite that crying scene as one of the worst imitations of crying in anime. On September 30 2015 03:53 Numy wrote: Yea. I only started in like 2002/3. I've convinced myself that different people can cry differently But I think it's all the pent up frustration in her that gives the feels. Crying is just the catharsis

It's a weird thing to explain : The olds games I have played and enjoyed for many hours, I tried some of them and can't stand them anymore :S Tastes evolved? Or maybe, aesthetic tastes evolved to the point where I am not able to watch something is visually different from current standards :S It's dumb / limiting, I know. But yea...

I started watching anime before some of you were born. Although it wasn't until college that I was watching more subbed anime than anything else. Ceres, NGE, LAIN, Those Who Hunt Elves, Dominion Tank Police, Project A-Ko, Excel Saga, Venus Wars, Bubblegum Crisis, Akira, Cutey Honey, Armitage... wait, that's a bit wandering across some time. Ranma 1/2, because of course. There's a difference in the quality of animation though, in the old shows. Different era, different technology, and my old VHS tapes don't look quite the same on an HDTV.
