lol that anime...at least the main theme was funny
Yup that stuff was so addictive. Interesting plot etc i remember i couldn't wait for it every week back then, a rather short series too which is a good thing for transition periods. And Who doesn't like a money munching loli lol
man i thought i was the only one that liked that series, it had so much potential
every other review I've seen bashes it for random shit
Have to agree with you Neo, the OST is really good and does its job well. Kimi no Iru Machi is my personal fav and I have been playing it a lot on loop lol.
The anime's official website also outlined the story, which is set in a world where humanity has lost control of the seas. The threat that has taken over the seas is the "deep sea fleet." The only ones who can counter this threat are Kan-musume (literally, warship girls), girls who possess the spirit of naval vessels from days gone by.
The base for the fleet arrayed against the "deep sea fleet" is Chinjufu. There, many various Kan-musume have gathered to live together and work hard everyday in training and other matters. One day, a Kan-musume arrives at Chinjufu, She is a special class of destroyer. Her name is Fubuki. "I am Fubuki! Nice to meet you!" Fubuki's story — as well as the Kan-musume's story — begins now.
that moment when there's like 50 ships in there and I recognize every single one of those except for tone DESPITE her wearing a shirt that reads neto.... Even the frickin' brown haired akatsuki's were no problem but Tone... Hype is real, aots winter.
Is the studio behind it same as GuP? Really getting that vibe behind it which must mean AotY material.
according to the article above it's the same studio that did "Girls und Panzer (TV) : 2nd Key Animation" whatever that means.
Lol what on earth does that mean.
In other news does anyone have some older shows that are good I may have not watched. My download queue is currently empty which doesn't feel right. I could put my current folder on this PC but I've watched some stuff not on there so may not help. Maybe any "hidden gems"?
It would still help. Not sure what qualifies as a "hidden gem" for you.

Ok I haven't organised stuff so it's a bit messy. There's a bunch missing that's on my other PC but I don't have access to that currently. I don't really have any preferences. Find even stuff out of ones comfort zone can be surprisingly awesome so these days I just look at what's good instead of what genre it falls under.

I kind of mean just good shows but since it's more likely I've seen the more mainstream good shows I said that instead.
Sorry if I overlooked them:
Mushishi Honey & Clover Haibane Renmei Princess Tutu Texhnolyze Kino no Tabi
They aren't exactly "hidden" gems, but if you haven't seen them yet you definitely should imo.
Thanks I haven't seen a few of those so I'll give them a go.

Pretty things.
Man I dled the 1080p Madoka but then my bro took the big ass TV down to his flat so I haven't watched it yet. Small monitor just doesn't do it justice. It was so amazing watching the 2 prior movies on the TV.
As for Mushishi, I tried it but after 4 episodes I stopped watching it. It wasn't that the episodes were bad, it just felt slow and not my type. At least I didn't feel the urge to watch more of it.

third one is such an upgrade to the previous ones and the series on a visuals department
Amagai 06: didn't really like the episode. cento was cute and all but no elemental girls and all in all... pretty average I'd say? The episode before that certainly was better but at the same time not quite as bad as the 4th episode either. Was expecting more after reading about it in here :/

It IS slow, but that's not a bad thing. The pacing is part of setting the mood/creating the atmosphere. I think you have to be in a certain mood to fully enjoy Mushishi, but yeah maybe it just isn't your type of show. It's probably the best anime I have seen so far, though it's hard to compare it to most other shows.

Ye watched all those. I have a feeling I'll be disappointed with Giant Robo
Impossible to be disappointed with Giant Robo. Its extremely good. Even Spazer, who hates everything and actively looks for stuff to complain about had good things to say about it. And it isn't really that long.
+100 respect points to BurningSera for recommending it, since it seemed like no one other than me ever did.
haha sent good to have some mech fellow fans over here.
probably have something to do with age as well. The kids nowadays have no clue about how excited some people get back then when mazinger Z was showing on tv.
