Art was okay. I mean....the anime basically took all the character designs. The VN story was a better read and for some reason a lot of the lines were funnier than when they were presented in the anime.

It's kind of like how in Little Busters, the main love interest is Rin, but then when you actually follow through with her route, she's so amazingly frustrating to deal with since she literally does nothing and you wonder "Wait a second...why?"
Same thing with Rewrite where you randomly choose Hanakana over THE BEST, CUTEST THING TO EVER HAPPEN. T__T;
Anyway before I start crying about Rewrite again, the examples go on and on so there's no point in me bringing up all too many things. I just want to say that....a lot of times I think the "best" girls are just the girls that are so much better, either from a character standpoint (aka not abusive people) or are more useful in general.

ok i watched the #8 of that Tonari seki kun, indeed it is good, i like this kinda of simple style story manga actually lol i have some ongoing manga that i chase similar to that, like Hinamatsuri comes to mind, or the increasingly popular one like Saiki Kusuo no Sainan, or even Shinya Shokudo to certain extend.
The soundtrack is good as well, that ED. Good stuff. Now the problem is that I need to go back and download the previous episodes but the seeds seem to be low D:

Samurai Flamenco 18 + Show Spoiler +answered a lot of questions and tied up plots. I would have been fine if this had been the final episode, but there are still four more left. Maybe Hazama will go back to stopping people from littering. Really enjoyed the series even though I didn't get all the references to the Super Sentai shows and just called them Power Rangers.

Then I laughed at how 'no reinforcements' really did meant introducing a third, fourth and however as many parties as necessary and then merging a bunch of them. You aren't getting new reinforcements, you are getting previously introduced characters switching sides! lol pls
