Ami was really nice eventually and everyone liked her, I think she deserved some love but got none so that made me sad for her
. Yeah I guess Minori was kind of odd sometimes BUT I think that was her way of talking about her feelings without really doing so, that's what I got out of her odd ghosts and what not conversation. But I could be wrong and she was just crazy

Yes you should get those tissues ready haha, the last few episodes are the worst.

ya, sleeping less as well lol. Well, I can see where Ami is going now. At least, that's how I see it. I dunno how desperate she gets though. Well, Ryuji hated her original personality and between Minori and Taiga, he was busy with his feelings lol.
oh I see, thanks. Will watch it and makes I have lots of tissues beside me

I see how you would have that opinion about Ami, since you haven't seen the whole thing I won't go into but she becomes her true self later on and is very nice to Ryuji almost exclusively but over all she got along with everyone perfectly. Which is why I liked her and felt so bad she just was never even looked at because Ryuji was so focused on Minori and then on Taiga so sad. Anohana is a drama, it's stupidly sad and YOU WILL cry watching it lol. It's really one of my favorites so you should watch it, it's only like 12-3 episodes so you should finish it rather quickly. And the reason I finished Toradora so quickly was because I slept less while I was watching it <.< lol so losing sleep over an ending I disliked so much was totally not worth it.

hmm while Amy is honest, at times, she was a prick XD Infact, just a bit before where I stopped halfway, it was like she was + Show Spoiler + Ya, I see the sistery angle as well but I'm not bothered by it because I still know that they are from different families. She just happens to be short lol. Minori is super nice, yes but I couldn't see her ending up with Takashi. Mostly since she's just way out for him and some of the stuff she said just didn't resonate with him at all. I guess you could say this about all of them but from all three, despite how Taiga behaves, I think she would've been the best fit. She's not as arrogant as Ami or far out as Minori. Mostly someone who felt abandoned and such. I think all their characters are well done and I like them all for the differences lol.
What's anohana? Ya, I heard of honey and clover, might give it a try after. BTW, I also am hooked on Todora so I share your 'pain' lol. Only difference is I don't have time to just watch it in a day or two, had to do it in 4 days XD

Nah it's okay, I get what you mean and I agree to some degree with what you said. Their relationship DID grow a lot and was very strong indeed, I just could never shake the feeling they were more like siblings than anything else, it seemed so weird to see them kiss later on... I was like that's so wrong (Kind of similar to how in Space brothers, idk if you watch that, they are pairing Hibito (30 yo) with this girl Olga(15 yo)) for me it's weird. I liked Ami SO much, she was the only honest person in the whole thing, at the same time she knew how lucky Taiga was and that she couldn't do anything about it which made it so frustrating. Midori was super nice and they were always dropping hints that she might end up with Ryuji but nope SIGH, I just felt teased ALL over the place and then the girl who yes had the strongest relationship with him but also felt more like a sister comes and steals him <.<. Felt like a waste to be honest, specially since it hooked me and I watched the whole thing in like 3 days SIGH.
I watched Honey and Clover afterwards and that was much better, no one ends up with someone else just because they spent 90% of the time on the show together like with Toradora. If they did that then you know what was going to happen for sure since episode 1, again like Toradora. It had a satisfying ending and I would recommend it if you like this type of romance animes.
White Album 2 is kind of like Honey but they are more direct about it, there's 2 girl leads 1 guy lead, you know they both will like him at some point, you know he's going to like only 1 and leave the other one hanging. But idk I just want to see how it all plays out, what does the other girl do? how does she "win him over", what if the other girl rejects him? (which is something they hint at sort of) so it's a lot less predictable than Toradora and even Honey to a degree, and I like that.
I guess recently I've been in a "Let's watch all the romantic triangle animes" phase, I remember loving anohana which wasn't necessarily romantic but just sad as fuck. So I like this genre, the less campy, less echi, harem etc etc dumb comedy stuff. Though I did watch Kare Kano the other day and that was great for a comedy/romance anime, shame the show didn't actually end correctly because there were problems with the production of the show :/. White Album 1 is good, it's less predictable but a lot of people hate the male lead so prepare for that, I liked it though but it's not connected to WA2 so you can skip it if you wish.

This is funny. Not so much the comment but rather, I'm watching Toradora atm, only started 2 days ago and was coming here to post about how addicting the anime is and how much I like Taiga. I mean I can't place my finger on it. It's probably to do with her behaviour, basically how she acts like a child at times and is so pushy and since it's over the top and wouldn't work like that in real life makes it all the more bizzare and funny to me. The fact that he's really patient with her even though she's called him so many names and smacked him around for a bit only adds to it and unless I'm mistaken, it's common in a manga(naruto at least, dunno about rest).

I will say this though. I can see why you might not like it. Since she is smaller than the other HS students and to Ryuji, it's almost like she's his younger sister. On top of that, she pretty much lives with them now and in a way, it seems like their relationship is sistery in nature. After all, who takes that much beatings and cursing and still feeds someone if it's not a family member or a significant other. Thing is and maybe you missed this part is that their relationship while was bizzare how it started in how she just asked for his help after trying to kill him lol, has been slowly moving towards the final stage of them being together so even though the start was odd, the progression seems almost natural. Almost since it was sped up a bit at the start etc...
From the 4th episode or so where Taiga confessed to Kitamura and was denied but didn't give up all the way to the cabin where they were plotting to get Ryuji closer to Minori and that didn't work etc... their relationship has been progressing to it. Infact, I think Taiga comes to realize much faster to Ryuji. She talks about how she can't bare to lose him(episode 8 with the swimming competition) and in the cabin, she was about to mention it(feel ok around you, nervous around kitamuru) but stopped and went to sleep. Even after the cabin, there are the hints that she realizes the fact but I guess she 'is stuck' in the past about Kitamuru. They are both still trying to get together with their original love so that adds on since it's not like they are focusing on each other all the time. Ami's introduction into the anime though was well timed and perfect. Added another layer especially that she was originally attached to Ryuji.
Wish we find out why Taiga likes Kitamuru in the first place if it has nothing to do with his own confession to her. Is it predictable? yes of course and I agree that it removes suspense but at the same time, if you don't mind this spoilage and mostly watch to enjoy the ride and see how things develop, it's really well done and funny
I'm only halfway so far and will probably finish it within the next 2 days so I dunno what else happens in the next half of the show.
btw, TanKLoveR, I'm only writing my feelings about the show since I wanted to write them somewhere lol and not bashing your post or anything. I'll probably check out white album if it's as good as you say

Log horizon is pretty great I think, one thing I always hated about SAO is that the main character was some sort of god who could solo everything, this is a lot more mmo like in the way people need groups to go through "the game".
These 2 and Kill la Kill should keep me busy until the next season of Silver Spoon.

I liked him way way more Taiga, at least he didn't exist solely because someone needed to be paired with the male lead because the secondary characters were meaningless in the end. Also I don't think he cheated for cheating's sake, shit was complicated with Yuki and all that. So I won't crucify him like everyone else does, was more complicated than to cheat or not (I think). If Taiga had stayed as the little sister while Midori and the guy ended up together, or even Ami, I would have been a lot happier with Toradora.

ya, I see Ami's character better now. She's definitely improved big time and I do feel sorry for her. As for Ryuji, well, it's how they want him to be, oblivious. I also get the wtf when he missed the point but honestly, imagine if he got it a long while back. The anime would've probably finished like 5-7 episodes earlier and personally, I would rather they extend the story and expand on it aside from him being oblivious(maybe other characters interested in him or something). Either way, I'm near the end and hopefully I wouldn't be disappointed in how it ends even though I know the outcome.
Will do about anohana lol.
