I voted for Tatami Galaxy. Because of Ozu. He has sexy teeth.

Thank you Maxie for understanding.

Tatami Galaxy was better than Texhnolyze, in my opinion. But not by much!
Nothing beats Lain though! Lain hype gooo!

We've talked about manhwa in here before too. Soul Cartel, Wake up Deadman, Tower of God, etc.

Honestly if you went to IRC you'd think this was actually "Teamliquid Moeboats Discussion Thread"

Why haven't you joined yet you silly echo.

Hello TL. Looking for anime recommendations from the last few seasons. Last completed animes include: - Hataraku Maou-sama! (ok) - Yuyushiki (pretty good start, somewhat flat finish) - Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai (not bad, but seriously fuck the male protag)
Preferences include slice of life, comedy, action if art/budget is good, protagonists with a spine.
Recently started animes include: - Servant x Service (dropped after ep 1. Will need convincing arguments to pick up again) - Tamayura: Hitose (reminds me of Sketchbook (boring) more than Aria (great). Considering sticking around for a few more eps before deciding to drop) - Kyouso Giga (good energy so far)
Animes I am contemplating starting: - Aku no Hana (synopsis points to spineless protagonists, unfortunately) - Namiuchigiwa no Muromi-san (synopsis points to no plot/meddling humor, unfortunately) - Gatchaman Crowds (synopsis points to lame as fucking shit plot and ending, unfortunately) - Tsuritama (synopsis points to yaoi and fishing, unfortunately. But noitaminA, and I usually like noitaminA shows)
Animes I started a long time ago and currently don't feel too compelled to complete. If there are any worth finishing please let me know: - A-Channel - Amagami SS - Hen Zemi - Kokoro Connect - Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica - Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo
Please advise thanks.

Don't bother finishing anything that you had on the not compelled to complete list.

SxS has a pretty lame first episode, but it really does pick up and get hilarious after that. They just had to spend an episode to introduce the environment and characters is all.
For slice of life/comedies: Nichijou (comedy) Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou (comedy, slice of life) Working!! (comedy, slice of life) [Has 2 seasons] Azumanga Daioh (comedy, probably considered slice of life~ish)
Others include (All comedies): Ouran Koukou Host Club (if you can get passed the homo-erotic twins) Binbougami ga! School Rumble Shinryaku!? Ika Musume
[I didn't pay attention to how recent some of these are though....]

Meh I didn't really bother recommending anything because far as recent seasons go, the only thing I 'd actively push on other people is Uchouten.
About SxS I suggest you search back to see what people's opinions are, I just call it the show that gives me Chihaya.

Madoka isn't trash.
Its a solid show, it just got overhyped

Its a solid show, it just got overhyped I look back and see that the only thing that really came out of that series is yuri. If you are into yuri doujins then I guess Madoka has some value. As a show though it had basically nothing by the end.

Thanks for suggestions. More suggestions welcome, but it sounds like the last few seasons have been pretty lackluster.

You can still stop now before Madoka enters into full retard territory, not too late.
I don't think the last few seasons are bad actually, just that there has been few things that I'd throw at people regardless of what they say they want (see Uchouten). Of the things that you said you like, I couldn't think of anything that particularly stood out. So yeah, maybe other people will have more ideas.

Yeah Gin no Saji is good, though I am not sure if anime adds anything in particular to manga.
