I'm really happy with all my MGs. I have Freedom, Aile Strike, Turn A, God Gundam, and Griffon from Patlabor. That said, I wish I was better at Gunpla when I made my Turn A, though...

Yeah, I gotta get that MG Gundam X. I've really been liking recent HGs, since I just prefer the 1/144 scale, but I can't pass up MG X.

I way prefer mastergrades personally. I have a fair HG collection but i just love the intricacy and size of the master grades

The main thing with HGs for me is that there is a bigger variety/selection of robots, and they don't take up nearly as much space as MGs do. Limited room on my shelfs for all this stuff, lol

Still need to put on the stickers and top coat though (never done that so far). And maybe learn how to pose, I admit I'm quite terrible at that no matter if it's a model or figma.
Regarding the different grades, I've mainly built HG:s (and that RG freedom), but building my first MG was a lot of fun so I think I'll certainly build more. I'm probably gonna get the build strike HG and try painting it though.
Sent, I've heard that the RG Zeta is a pain to build, was it for you as well? I do want a Zeta and it looks really sweet.
Build Fighters should be a lot of fun, I just hope they don't spout too many gunpla ideals while fighting.
