+ Show Spoiler + Wow, the ending was totally unexpected. I was expecting Reki's wings to fall off and for her to go to the Renmei to live out the rest of her life, while Rakka is in distress and wants to help her 'regain' her wings somehow. That being said, I really, really, really enjoyed the ending and I think the writers finished it off in the best way possible. In fact, up until the last episode, everything felt slow and I guess pointless? I had heard great things about the anime but watching it didn't really stir me. Did anyone else have the same experience watching this show, where they didn't particularly enjoy it till the end? I feel like I can't reiterate enough how big of a difference the end made for me. It made the whole show have some sort of purpose and made it infinitely more interesting. It was TOTALLY worth watching the whole thing just for the ending. It's actually funny how quickly my opinion of the show changed. Really well done. But now I want to see who comes out of those twin cocoons. Sequel please! >.< Seriously though, it'd be so nice if we got to see Rakka take her day of flight and see what is outside the walls. I would have thought that it would tie in with modern human culture. For example, maybe outside the walls is the modern human world and the angels that we know are actually the Haibane coming through on their day of flight. After that, it would be cool to see how they interact with our world. I hope that the writers decide they want to continue it. So short, but so good. Too short Q_Q | ||

the first arc is over. The next arc will be 11 episodes. exactly the kind of plot twist you should expect from #1 anime. first ep of LB! was pretty much what I hoped for. No real complaints aside from Rin's fingers. I'm glad they're keeping the fun stuff like titles and missions. Disappointed at the Sasasasa battle though. Oh well, should be fine for awhile. We'll see what sort of trainwreck they go on once plot starts to be relevant though. | ||
