Reborn (hope we're allowed to talk about it even though it's "mainstream" + Show Spoiler +
what the fuuuuuuuuu
It's that ramen shop guy who hid them and everything. I remember years ago talking with a friend about how Reborn liked to throw in random deus ex machinas like any shounen manga... but anyway there was THIS SAME GUY, who's just never mentioned ever again after his appearance.... whoaaa brings back the memories

27. But maybe it somehow does a turn around idk. NGE gets ridiculously different towards the end, Gainax might pull something similar
What's boring about it? While the plot isn't the best thing ever contrived, it moves at a good enough pace to keep things interesting.
20... you're just after the timeskip, right? There's more action and less wordswords semi-beurecratic monologue-ing coming up soon.
I don't think the series is that bad, but the scale has gotten so ludicrous. I think the plot tried to do too much in too few episode, the concept was interesting but nothing was ever given much time to do anything, I couldn't find myself caring about the characters and their struggles.
I hate the Attenborough guy so much. His animation, his voice, everything is so annoying, but that's independent of m criticism and just a gripe
TTGL is straight up refuge in audacity. Many people like the insanity and over-the-top attitude, many don't. I understand both sides, but it's one of my personal favorites when I just want to see cool shit blow up and giant robot fights with little thought involved.
I'm just getting back into anime since I stopped watching around 4 yeas ago. I loved Evangelion and Code Geass type mechas, got any recommendations in that style? Whether its mecha or not doesn't matter
You could watch practically any Gundam show for a "Code Geass" type mecha show. For Evangelion style, maybe take a look at RahXephon or Fafner? If you could say more what exactly you liked about Evangelion or Code Geass I could help more, probably.

Or why x/y/z is over-hyped, doesn't deserve support along with passion induced drama! What more could you ask for!

Enjoyed it as well, story and characters so far seems original. This one has potential!
Shinsekai yori the adaptation feels 'forced'.
Chuunibyou demo koi ga shitai lite why so good lol. buy buy buy.
Might want to check out the manga if you liked the first episode. At least I'm doing that to get a headstart. o/
That's probably why I don't watch as much anime as before. I just read the material now.
Its always a dilemma to read or not cause it takes away the cliff-hanger effect of each weekly episode. Couldn't resist the temptation in end, so I did. Quite impressed, hoping the anime doesn't disappoint!

Try Tiger & Bunny a little less serious and harder to get into but good nonetheless. I think if you found TLGL hard pressed to keep you entertained then there is probably not many series out there you'll end up finishing.

I liked almost everything about Code Geass. I liked the characters, I liked the plot, while I thought the action got over the top towards the end. It was basically a dick waving competition of who had the newest mech which was dumb. But Lelouch was an interesting anti-hero, suzaku was an asshole and I hated him but I could still understand where he was coming from, everything seemed to make sense character wise. Evangelion had fantastic action scenes, dislikable little shits for characters who I still enjoyed nevertheless, and the plot was interesting but convoluted towards the end. I basically like compelling characters I guess

Fate/Zero might be good even though it's not mecha~
Main recommendation would be Muv-Luv Alternative VN for mecha and in general, though.
As for anime, well I don't think there really are any mecha animes that are that good, try Gundam or Gurren Lagann I guess. Maybe Muv-Luv Alternative has spoiled me ...
Full Metal Panic would probably also be interesting. It has really good characters.

This is the best ED in the history of EDs.
I tried hard to think of my favorite ED but I really am not sure....
Probably a draw between Magia and Oblivious. Magia probably the better song, much bigger Wow!-factor after hearing Oblivious for the first time after the movie.
Ugh I hate month long releases for manga. Yes I'm looking at you Kaichou! Maybe I should just start reading manga instead since I just don't have time to devote to episodes hm.

I tried to watch it but it's art style seemed really...awkward to me. Dunno, just didn't feel right so I stopped.
yeah, it does feel awkward, it was my biggest complain but after 3 episodes you do get used to it.
anyway, I'm really liking all the characters and the overall story, it just keeps getting better and better, so far there is 17/40 episodes out and each one of them exceeds my expectations, with weren't very high in the beginning, but now, if they can keep this level of entertainment and manage to get a good ending, it will become one of my all time favorites.

There's also a Dear You trance remix by ObakeOtaku on youtube which is quite excellent.
Eh no but Te wo Tsunaide is really well known but still nice :>
You -destructive ftw!
ED wise I'd probably have to go with Bakemonogatari's ED, Kimi no shiranai monogatari - supercell. Nagi <3.
Well chances are that they won't have enough materials to do another season with for a while anyway, so even if sales are shit they've done their job. Though from the publisher's side it must be disappointing, inb4 they push Nomura Mizuki's new series for anime/ova. I'd watch either one of her new stuff in anime form lol
Most recent good EDs to me...probably Kokokone ED3 and Stardust Melodia. Don't want to think back too far because it'll be a hassle.

So, you like anime to have characters you hate, because you enjoy characters like that...? I guess I'll just default back to my prior suggestions lol, since I'm not sure I'll ever understand that mindset enough to give better recommendations
I guess what attracted me to it was because : -I enjoyed Accel World -It seems to be 'THE' show of the moment (I remember seeing it being brought up alot)
So far, I'd say that it is not the masterpiece some people claim it to be. But neither is it as disastrous as some others claim it is.
The pacing IS horrible. Fast sometimes, but can slow down for multiple episodes + Show Spoiler +
Especially the romance episodes, aka the last few episodes
. The jump of floors is also insane. Each episodes feel like its been a LONG time. In fact, for some episodes, I was even worried I got the wrong order (as in : two consecutive episodes may seem to be totally unrelated!)
I like the fights in general, but Kirito feels OP.
I understand that the main guy is a loner. But because of that, it feels like every episodes can be a short story (and not part of a single story). The characters we meet and learn in 1 episode are no longer mentioned in the next one
I'm hoping when the serie ends and the good people manage to clear the game, that the dead people stays dead... If they come back alive, I'll feel cheated
