There are a lot of people who think Angel Beats was terrible... personally I liked it quite a bit, but I do wish that it had been 24 episodes, since there were quite a few characters that I would've liked knowing more about (their regrets, how they died, etc - how Yuri died, for example), and its pacing was a bit odd. But I still liked it.

I think they hate it more for not being all it could have been rather than because it was actually bad. I'm with you in that I actually enjoyed it, though it would have benefitted from being longer.

Well, as I said, I also wish it had been longer. There's a lot of lost potential, so to speak, I agree with that.

Though the whole thing about her not trusting the others was a bit exaggerated... I mean, afraid that they were going to commit crimes in your body? Really? You're afraid your friends would do that? I understand fear of the guys doing too much "experimenting with the female body" during a swap, or something like that, but, eh.

That said, judging from the preview, shit hits the fan next episode.

Everything feels exaggerated, but this is highschool life were talking about here, anything goes.

The part where she commented on committing crimes was an example, I believe she said it herself that she didnt expect them to go that far, but that prospect still scares her.

So Nitta and co go to the abandoned schoolbuilding where they find Ritsu's body. I thought the delayed/staggered writing of Nitta narrating his reaction was pretty hilarious/striking.

Ok then Nitta gets stabbed... in the kneecap? Cool, cool. I used to be an adventurer, etc.

But anyways for this whole scene where Suzukawa dons his tsurugi and torments the students we have this completely incongruous happy school life guitar+flute track. He cuts off Konatsu's clothes and I'm like... ok this is far from what I expect out of a soundtrack for rape or w/e is coming.

Also his close female friend is about to be raped and murdered and Nitta's first reaction is (She's pretty...) My face.

Takeru the God beasted like 20+ of them, plus tons and tons of smaller classes.

Its also not really fair to Yuuya because 1.) its a Fubuki, 2.) no XM3, and 3.) American combat doctrine that Yuuya has been trained in is a ton different from they want him to do.

Still funny though, Takeru is OP.

before anyone harps on my "shit" ranking, this is a not a favorite character list, but a waifu list. Thus, as being an insecure loser about my height, girls taller than me almost all get pushed down by a tier. Conversely, short girls get raised up a tier and some that otherwise would not even make a list get ranked B tier over better but taller girls. Yes, I'm serious.
