I've started watching Hayate no Gotoku, and I have to say, for a comedy, this show gets pretty damn depressing at times. I feel like throwing something any time Hayate's parents are mentioned. -_- I'm enjoying this series a lot though. Eve no Jikan movie out March 6!

I don't even have any knowledge of the series it's based on, but I'm just blown away by it, and I'm pretty sure I want it. >_> ![]() Only flaw is that it's really expensive. ![]()

and I don't recall anything depressing because of how light hearted and hilarious the show is. Really good show.

Yeah, that's what it's from, but I was just saying I have no knowledge of Black Rock Shooter. I've only ever heard the name, a few times in this thread, and that's it.

There is no anime tied to it. Black Rock Shooter was the name of one of Hatsune Miku's original songs, and then a character sprouted from it. I have no idea how the anime will turn out ![]()

On a different note, I just saw an episode with Gunbuster references. Hell yeah.I'm on a hayate binge still (s2 now) and I don't recall anything depressing because of how light hearted and hilarious the show is. Really good show. The detail on that Shiki figure is bordering on ridiculous. Which reminds me, I still need to finish watching the series. I've only got the seventh movie left.

Regardless, for someone who hasn't purchased a single figurine, to even consider paying $130ish for it must tell you how much it caught my eye.

Hahaha. What the heck. The METEOR system is so overpowered in SEED. It basically lets one person take out an entire fleet. Well, it's not like capital ships were of much use in any Gundam series with the exception of the main character's ship.

The worst offender involves the episode where the Archangel's landing on earth, and four mobile suits apparently take out an entire fleet. And then Kira manages to top this when he starts beam spamming everything. For a "realistic" mecha show, things got kinda ridiculous here. I was just reading the Wikipedia page for Hayate no Gotoku, and saw this: Before and after the commercial break, there is a unique eyecatch each time. The characters who appear state a phrase which is an on-going game of shiritori This just blew my mind. I always thought those phrases were just random words or something.

Funny, I never noticed that about Hayate, though I never paid attention to eyecatches either. On February 20 2010 12:34 bearbuddy wrote: Is that... A kenshin figurine?! Why did they change her color scheme? You should've kept quiet! Now we know your darkest secrets! Not that eroge is a huge deal. Griffon does weird things with their figurines though, kind of nice to see a different color scheme simply for the sake of change.
