Opposite for me, i hadn't slept for 4 days when i watched Angel Beats! and became euphoric and extremely happy after finishing it (i did cry during the ending though). Watch Clannad and Clannad After Story, they made me depressed for days and made me reconsider my life, best anime ever created imo.
Perhaps the 4 days without sleep affected you a bit more than you thought lol. Also I'm in the process of watching Clannad: After Story, I have a feeling something tragic is gonna happen in the end, it's quite worrying.
On the topic of clannad, where is a good clannad ( not after story ) download? 720p jap audio eng subs. I've been looking for some time and when I finally find something the mirror doesn't work.

I've found that people here don't shun KS-lovers as much as you'd expect.
But yeah I think it depends a lot on what you're after in it. "really really good" is very specific for each person, so it's not something to easily go by. ~~
If going by literally anything (as in random), I'd guess Fate/Stay Night (as mentioned before) would go well. Or if you're after something different from those you've done, try Kara no Shoujo. It's kinda depressing in quite a bad way though, and very hard to understand w/o a walkthrough. I did it without and it was very frustrating at some times, but it really lets you use your brain so it was def worth it in the end.
HOTD manga wasn't much different from the anime. The anime followed it pretty closely given where the manga was at the time. It just upped the already existent fanservice even higher. Can't expect much when the manga authors use to draw H-mangas.
No, Eustia does not have a patch yet. Only the prologue has a patch.

I still to this day believe Death Note is overrated. Don't get me wrong, I definitely enjoyed it but I didn't feel it was a 'genius' piece of work.
Death Note was really good. After reading the manga, the ending was pretty acceptable as endings go, but it just seemed to peter out once + Show Spoiler +
L died
. Instead of seeing the epic showdown play out as we might hope, you see a hubris-driven meltdown that is hard to believe based on what we saw from the beginning of the series.
In that sense though, you could say it's different and original. Instead of the series being modeled as a game of chess... the game is only the beginning. There's always a bigger game, and no matter how smart you are you can't win them all....
If you read Bakuman (which is from the same creator as Deathnote), they talked about how Shounen jump work. Apparently, author can not end a series they want without consulting their editors. Since basically they want to suck the juice out of a series as best as they can before they let it go. It hard to explain since if you dont read bakuman, then it hard to go into detail about it without ruining the series for you. If you dont care, then read the spoilers
In Bakuman, they created a manga called Reversi. They wanted to end Reversi because it at the PEAK of it climax and so they already had a good ending and everything planned out to end the series on a good note but since the series was getting an anime, they were forced to drag on the manga for a little bit longer by their editor. It felt to me that Reversi was basically like the author themselves were using Reversi to portray what DeathNote went through and what they went through themselves. I found it interesting but it might of just been me dwelling to deep into it lol
But imo, the author probably wanted to end DeathNote when L died or somewhere around there.
Damn. At times like these I wish I went for Japanese instead of French in school. Limits my recent habit of mercilessly consuming VNs more than I'd like. Oh well.

Not that it matters since they are back to romcom for their upcoming game.
TtT PS3 game was pretty neat, good graphics, decent music. I wanted to try the gaiden thing for it but didn't want to blow the money in the end. Utawarerumono ftw, I should play the PSP version at some point just because 1, Kimi ga Tame, 2, no random wtf sex scenes.

Too bad that after the last round of nerfs you need to actually pay attention to do decent with her, or else you are just playing a vastly inferior Soraka.
Also just read Ever17, you might nitpick with gsen but that's playable too, one of inganock or sharnoth was fully translated so if you are into really weird shit there is that.

I really like the PS3 version of the character design well same as the anime design something about the classic design is just... especially with the pink hair house elf and the water elf, Mine Elf look vastly better in the PS3 version.
Ever 17 was good, I liked it, Sharnoth was weird and I only like it because of the art the female heroine and the yuri + Oujo setting. Minigames were ass but they started to grow on me later on.
romcom ftl August needs to realize the potential in writing stuff like Eustia (though I doubt they'll be able to pull it off again)
Oh yeah on topic of Translated VNs i guess you all have read Ef - fairytale of two, but if you haven't go experience minori's level of production value.
