For me its the most promising new series of this season yet! Really original character design and story. I also enjoyed Space Brothers&Lupin III a lot. I have to say i think i will enjoy this season. | ||

Interesting how the MC loves to flaunt about his fetish so openly. The art style is nice too, felt SHAFT-like? Though I usually do not care about that. The way they pulled through first episode was nice w/ the Cat as a tool to pull him towards this whole ressurection thing but the "randomly found book from the past which is suprisingly convenient" felt kinda stupid. But apart from that I at least felt like I always wanted to know what happened next. Some funny moments too, especially with him joking with her about making her a Zombie and then the retaliation from her cracked me up quite a lot. Unless the thing at the end wasn't a dream or smth in which case it's like WTF IS THIS SHIT. So despite the wierd description I liked the first episode. It's too early to judge the whole thing but sofar it looks watchable. Think in the end they'll do it right and it'll be enjoyable or very very wrong. The plot feels too loose for it to end up as anything "great". | ||

+ Show Spoiler + Good start to the season. But did anyone else feel that the aerial scene didnt fit in at all. I mean what the fuck Gilgamesh has a ship that goes supersonic too? While the fight was cool it in all it felt stupidly place. If Gilgamesh had that why wasent he summoned as rider? Im pretty sure it surpasses Riders own mount. | ||

Many of the F/X servants are listed under at LEAST two categories, as all it takes is a mount to be a rider, but you don't even have to use it as your main weapon. That means Arturia could be considered rider (if she had a famous horse, I don't remember), et cetera et cetera. | ||

Im pretty sure it surpasses Riders own mount. Yeah, as Uta said, servants can be potentially summoned in multiple classes, depending on their abilities. Like take Berserker in FSN for example. They explicitly said that he could have been summoned as any class other than Caster or Assassin, IIRC. And given who Gilgamesh is, with the Gates of Babylon, he could have been summoned as Rider too. Or Saber, or Lancer, etc. All that said, the Class they are summoned in greatly determines how strong their abilities are manifested. Rider being summoned as a Rider makes his riding abilities greater than Gilgamesh's by alot, since he was summoned as Archer. Only Saber's riding abilties are able to stand a chance, since the class of Saber also gets high Riding stats. Gordius Wheel (Rider's Chariot) is an A+ ranked Noble Phantasm anyway. @Uta: I think Arthria is only able to be of Saber class. They said something like that in FSN, I think. | ||

Because of that, you technically can watch F/Z without having read FSN. However, I think it would be a good idea to read FSN before watching F/Z, because Production Order is the order in which it is intended to be watched. Somethings are just more meaningful after having read FSN first, not to mention F/Z will spoiler various parts of FSN for you. Also, the FSN anime was bland, and the visual novel is alot better, so I'd strongly recommend the FSN VN over the anime. | ||

He is also a far superior "pilot" due to his class. If that were Rider on top of the F16 he woulda caught Gilgamesh. | ||
