Apparently the PV just show cased two scenes of an F-15 and a Shirauni II. So basically it was barely anything, much to my disappointment. And the now the wait for an actual PV starts again...

Recently watched Darker than Black (it was really good) and Ga Rei Zero (also really good, made me start reading the manga that the anime is a prequel of), I really recommend both.

Over the last month or so I've watched Elfen Lied, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, and Angel Beats. Is it normal to be completely unsatisfied with life after something like this?

That's a pretty decent trio of shows. Though I'm sure you'll hear haters about Angel Beats.
Completely new characters? Im actually downs for that, I love the concept that of which this place takes in.

Its good, but it also carries the reputation of PA Works. Starts off well, you see amazing potential, then the ending just feels so rushed or a little dissapointing.
