Rinne no Lagrange 4: + Show Spoiler +Is it me, or the newest episode of Rinne no Lagrange gives off this Nanoha StrikerS vibe to it?
Sigh. I have to say that I never finished a mecha show unless it was Gundam. Maybe I am too used to Gundam-type shows when it comes to mecha.

Btw, it was Kaal and Harem who defeated Ferrose at two separate battles, although there were several other champions involved. Harem was the one who temp banned him after ZNF's Ano Hara post, so he should get credit for the victory.
Gundam AGE Generation 2 starts this week, in case anyone was waiting for that to marathon Generation 1 or something. Is Gundam AGE worth watching at all? I saw some shots and it seems like a kiddy show. It is rather young (I think Sunrise aimed for a younger age-group so they can keep the franchise popular), however it deals with a lot of issues you wouldn't think the characters would be able to, and it does it well. Give it a shot and I'm sure you'll get hooked, I thought exactly what you did but then it got me xD. Well I can't seem to find working links to the latest 4 Guilty Crown episodes so I'm looking for a new show. Needs bad-ass MC though. no beta plz! http://www.tokyotosho.info/search.php?terms=guilty crown&type=1&size_min=&size_max=&username=
You want bad-ass MC's but you're watching Guilty Crown?

We are deep enough into this season to say what we are thinking about the new shows, right?
My opinions on some of them: + Show Spoiler +

I thought we loved Sentenal because of his tsundere tendencies? didn't we all agree to that at one point?

Watching the Denpateki na Kanojo BD rip made me so sad. Author still not writing more for this series, no talks for the remaining vol getting animated, and the way OVA 2 omitted a lot of awesome to make things fit. QQ

Who wants to guess what Uso is holding in this picture? (hes the brown haired kid, also the only one holding anything)

a helmet? a ricecooker?
this season:
mouretsu pirates is my anime of the season so far, thermae romae is hilariously weird, brave10 is solid action and ZnT will be marathoned on completion, "papa no..." has not progressed enough to say if its worth, the intro to the current situation was decent, but now it needs fuel to keep my interest burning.

Who holds a head like that for everyone to see... -___-

yea it looks like a helmet, maybe some pilot dies or something ?
edit: that having been said it doesnt look terribly worn if it fell out of an exploding mech or something

It is his mother's head. A giant motorcycle battleship fell on her right in front of him, after a cease-fire was called, causing her head to shoot off like a rocket. Oh yeah, Uso is like 12 years old. Victory Gundam so happy.

+ Show Spoiler +Where else have I seen people carrying body parts around ? The most recommended show in ADT history. Seems rather grim, makes sense why stuff like Juushi Bismarck (when aliens get blasted to smithereens they dont die, they just go back to the vapor zone) and Macross got american edits and not that.
Just started watching Moretsu pirates, the title translation as Bodacious really put me off before, reasonably enjoyable although I wouldnt start comparing it to BoTS :p. But seriously, they have a word that can only specifically be translated as Bodacious ? Thats pretty amusing in itself.

If only gundam was as dark as in Gundam Seed Stargazer, it would be so freaking awesome

Mind sharing your opinion on some of them as well lol. I understood some of it but some of the stuff I didnt get the references because I didnt watch the anime you were comparing it to. Although I stop watching that pirate one though it got boring -.-. I think the only one that I got the references was the Nisem one lol. Although there was alot of fan service I think it was justified to some extent :3
Oh I must say that Another is pretty good. I like where it going :3
I am still waiting for that berserk movie although it probably wont be translated for another 3-6 month after the release.

Compared Lagrange to Gunbuster, classic Gainex anime from the 80s. Madoka in Lagrange kinda reminds me Noriko, both are Super Robot shows, both have lasers that fire from lenses, both have 3 girls as the main pilots. Its kinda a loose comparison, but its still there, sorta. I had expected Lagrange to be like Idol Master Xenoglossia, aka cute girls doing cute things, with the occasional robot.
For Pirates, what I expected is probably pretty clear from the picture. It actually secretly reminds me of Crest/Banner of the Stars. Again, a loose comparison, but still reminds me of it. Both are dialogue driven (well, not AS much in Pirate's case, but its still there), both have that spacey feel of naviating their ship through space. Also was hoping Caller would see me compare Moretsu Pirates to the Seikai series. The alternate one compares Moe Harlock to Space Pirate Captain Harlock. You can probably tell where the comparison is just based on the anime's name. Kaal one time kicked me from IRC for calling Moretsu Pirates "Moe Harlock", so that one is just for him.
3rd one is Symphogear. I thought it would be shit. Its magical girls with techno magic like Nanoha, and then the other 2 images should be self-explanatory.
4th is Aquarion EVOL. I expected it to be like Genesis of Aquarion. And thus far it is like Genesis of Aquarion, except with better characters.

Have you finished Nanoha? that's close enough to non-Gundam mecha.
+ Show Spoiler [Rinne no Lagrange 4] + LOL that diner scene! Lan looks so jelly at Madoka and Muginami's relationship.
