Wow it took 3posts for that to come up, I was betting on a Sentenal doing it though..
Sentenal can't he's got me blacklisted. so he can't see my posts.
You can blacklist people? How do I do that? Qq. It's slow anime Thursday again. Is prince of tennis the only thing to watch? Noooo
Between watching 14 ongoings and (currently) FSN / FZ, I never have a slow anime day :D
I watch just as many if not more. But I watch everything the day of, so on days like Thursday I get pretty bored. Maybe it's time to star working on tamayura.

Isn't Thursday night/early Friday morning packed with shows? In about 12ish hours, Amagami and Guilty Crown airs.
It is, but I usually don't stay up for that. I have to go to work fairly early.
Funny how I live in Japan, but I actually watch fansubs. Sometimes I just get so burned out on all the Japanese around me, so I fill my personal space with English exclusively.

Ah, I see what you mean by boring Thursdays then if you wait on fansubs. I could barely keep myself up to watch anime that late too when I was in Japan. I was usually so tired from walking around during the day that it was just a struggle to stay up by 11pm. I think I was able to catch maybe half an episode of Working!! on my hotel TV before I decided it was pointless and just went to sleep.

Heh, I'm not watching as much as I should. Don't have much time for TV lately.

I should do that some time. I heard that some of them are really bad.
I'm new here and as much as I would like to, reading 1796 pages to make sure the question I will ask now wasn't asked befor is out of my "let's do this!"-realm, so please don't kill me xD
Question being:
Anyone of you watched the whole Major Series (Season 1-6 + Movie & OVA) and if yes, what do you guys think about it?
I totally love Goro and all his teams he had, for me it's a "motivation"-kind of anime, while I do think that his feeds are impossible (or at least nearly) to do in reallife, his determination to "go out and win that shit" is really giving me the feeling to do the same.

i prefer to ignore the OVA, the series ended perfectly with season 6, its the only sports anime i enjoyed apart from hajime no ippo.

Well, I find that the OVA was okay and actually it isn't the "real" end yet: Another 2 OVA's covering Goro going to the World Series are still waiting to be subbed.
Also, though I haven't finished New Challenger yet, Hajime no Ippo is also one of my favorite sport anime :D

I liked the fact that you got to see Goro grow from a little kid to somewhat of an adult. Definitely killed some time for me, watching all 6 seasons. It also led me to watch other baseball/sport animes like Cross Game and One Outs.

Yeah, the progression of the anime was nice in my opinion too. Maybe a bit to "slow" on the GoroxShimizu part, but it's a sport anime, so whatever.
I think I watched Cross Over in between the different Major Seasons and although a bit slow paced, I still liked it.
One Outs is imo more a "mind games" anime than a sports one, but is was still very interesting - finished the whole anime in 2 days xD

Yeah I agree. I will say Major is probably number 3 on my list or sport animes, behind Ippo and Cross Game. I really liked the build up to Cross Game more than Major. I liked the style more too. I also forgot to mention I started reading Touch after I started Major and Cross Game, but Touch is very similar to Cross Game anyways, just a little more old school.

In regards to the sport gerne I prefer anime over manga, because in my opinion the "action" can be portaied better, but maybe I'll change my view on that someday in the future ;P
I don't really have a order like that, because I've watched many different anime and I couldn't for the live of me decide which are best in earch genre. They all are great :D

Yeah I can't really organize all the anime I've watched into a sequential list, but for some reason I can with just the sports genre. Probably because I've only seen like 6 or 7 different series total. I will say, reading Cross Game/Touch is more romancy, so reading them is probably just as good as watching them. With other series like Major or Ippo or One Outs, it's probably better to watch, imo.
