+ Show Spoiler +Its not like you couldn't see all the deaths coming from a mile away. I feel they tried a bit too hard in making everything as depressing/disturbing as possible, in short, it felt contrived... Everyone gets there "HEY GUYS, I'm going to go take one for the team and die, be sad plox!" scene. Except Marimo, I guess, they just wanted to shove gore in your face, cause we all love heads exploding.
They went out of their way to make a setting where everyone dying is the only logical outcome, and then the try to make it emotional when the only logical thing happens. Doesn't quite work, IMO. Honestly, they probably overdid it introducing a whole slew of new characters for the express purpose of killing them off, before getting to the main cast. Take the last arc by itself with some changes and it would have *probably* stood just as well if not better.
I donno, for me, the major detractor to it is that it's too long, especially seeing since you need to play through two other games (which aren't exactly the most awesome things ever) to appreciate any of it...is just...poor planning?
I mean, it didn't suck totally, it just isn't OMFGPERFECTAWESOME like some people make it out to be. Then again, I occasionally hate on good things for no reason just because its hyped so iunno if that;s just that part of me going nuts :/

Then again, I occasionally hate on good things for no reason just because its hyped so iunno if that;s just that part of me going nuts :/ + Show Spoiler +Opinions like this (and Spazer's, and Ecael's) I can understand and respect. I disagree with it since I absoluetely loved Alternative, but at least he is backing up why he says the things that he says. Spazer said that MLA would be better served as an anime, seeing as how the action was really good, but the other parts he didn't enjoy as much.
Anyway, I felt that the deaths of characters like Captain Isumi, Lt Hayase, and Meiya's death were all emotional, even though you knew it was logical for them too. Not much to say here other than we just disagree.
Originally, Alternative was just going to be Sumika's route in Unlimited, except that the scope of the said route was getting way too big, so they just made it its own game. While Extra was painful to get through, and Unlimited was kinda boring, I think they served their purpose well of developing the characters and world, to get you ready for Alternative.

Yeah but kimono covers the whole body so the most work we'd have to do is facial cosmetics and hair which is pretty easy, I am sure i can find concealer mascara and foundation somewhere in my mother's closet. And if we get a decent wig we don't even need to use a hair iron, which is kinda of pain in the ass for me, maybe Tarolg can take care of the things I can't do

But if you cosplay as Charlotte, it covers the entire body, face included.

SECOND MACROSS MOVIE EVERYONE GO WATCH IT.
I loved the anime series but the writing was a weakness, they fixed it and more in the Movies. It's as close to perfect as you can get with a modern mecha anime imo.

You also need a vehicle to go with it:

How different is it from the series?

Oh we get a real ending instead of that triangle shit from the anime.

Alot of times movies like that tend to be compilation movies, so I don't bother, but if its THAT different I'll definitely watch.

+ Show Spoiler [C^3 5] +That was a pretty hawt H-scene.
I'm glad they finally got rid of that lady. Dumbest villain ever -_- Hopefully the next one is cooler.

This has prompted me to actually post more than once a week.
Ranka Lee is the greatest, she would easily man handle Sheryl in a fight.

Sheryl > Ranka all the way, that's why Sheryl gets May'n and Ranka only gets Nakajima Ai, (was it Ai or Megumi? i forget I think Megumi but oh well)
