Just finished watching the original Gunbuster. Damn good for an anime from the 80's, and to think that I thought Gurren Lagann was unique before seeing this. Hoping that the new serie is just as good.
Also Hayate no Gotoku is much better than I expected, had completely wrong idea of it so kept ignoring it till now. A talking tiger humping a cross dressing neko is something I haven't seen before.
Only watched up to EP10 of Stein;s Gate, now I can marathon it as it ended, patience yay.

Also, TvTropes says Kotonoha is an ojou. /appeal to authority.
I haven't had time to watch Steins;Gate sadly. But seeing all these comments makes me think I should.

u can marathon the whole thing now so gogogo + Show Spoiler [S;G 24] +GOD DAMN IT ... I feared they would just pass each other in the crowd and never really meet in the end. So happy they did = )))))))) so happy. this was the best series this year for me. I would watch a season 2 with delight, but I'm okay with it ending now as well

Steins;Gate 24 + Show Spoiler +love happy endings, I feared that it wouldn't be as good as this ending

+ Show Spoiler [S;G 24] +I dont understand why it is the best anime of this season or this year. It should be 100% good throughout the whole thing. Whether or not the backtrack was intentional or not. On a weekly format it fails, and it did fail, destroying the hype/drama created by the mayuri fiasco. As for the ending i like happy endings.
Could've gotten easy 9.5/10 But i'm giving it a 7.5.

I don't think S;G comes even near to be as huge as fate stay.

I'm so, so jealous. They don't sell it here. =/
For me S;G is one of the best, if not the best, anime of this year. And that ending was nice, maybe lacking a bit of drama, but oh well, can't be perfect.

+ Show Spoiler [sg 24] +It was awesome but I don't think it was quite as good as 20,21,23, still good though. I thought okarin would die though and when he got stabbed I was like CALLED IT, but then he survived.

My point was, yes, its possible, just look at FSN.

Only watched up to EP10 of Stein;s Gate, now I can marathon it as it ended, patience yay. This post makes me smile. TTGL is a good show, but I'm always saying how it wasn't super unique, and how it borrowed heavily from shows like Gunbuster and Getter Robo. I'm glad you enjoyed Gunbuster, it is definitely a timeless classic. If by "new series", you mean Diebuster, that show is still really good, although it isn't as amazing as Gunbuster was.

Could've gotten easy 9.5/10 But i'm giving it a 7.5. Because a show doesn't even have to be good, let alone 100% good throughout, to be "best of the season." It's just better than anything else that aired at the time. You're free to argue something is better, and perhaps you'll enlighten me on a hidden gem I missed, but don't say it isn't the best because it wasn't what it could've been.

Think a bit, just a little bit, about why people would recommend school days. It's hard to see the reason why. I mean it's not very good , not so bad either. Doesn't give much joy but doen't get you pissed either. It is just so ordinary. On September 14 2011 03:49 mofuli wrote: or maybe people can get disgusted since they paint the blood as black as oil due to censorship? What the fuck are you talking about
He meant the fact that there was some censoring done on the original TV airing of School Days, apparently there was a violent murder the day before so they couldnt air it as originally planned. They changed the blood from red to black. Maybe it wasnt due to this, I don't know.

Sentenal, I wasn't talking about VNs in general, just Steins;Gate. People were calling it a stretch to have the anime be as long as it was, so I figured that the movie couldn't have that much content to work with from the VN.

Ok maybe it was the best of the season, but i guess that season was weak. Its definitely not as good as people make it out to be, on a weekly basis at least. If you marathon it, it'll probably be bearable.
