I don't think those missiles would do much against minovsky particles, though. There are 2 reasons why I think a Leo would beat a Zaku. First one is beam weaponry. Beam weaponry is the sole reason why GMs were better than Zakus. Beam Saber>Zaku's Heathawk axe thing. Next, is what they are made out of. A Zaku is made out of "Super Hard Steel Alloy", while a Leo is made out of Titanium Alloy. This is actually a pretty huge victory for the Leo. A Zaku being made out of steel (among other things) results in it weighing 58 tons. A Leo weighs 7 tons. So basically, even though they are roughly the same size, a Zaku is about 8 times the weight of a Leo, and has less firepower. So its actually not really a far comparison lol. Leos are more comparable to the mooks from Victory Gundam, which is like 70 years after the OYW. | ||

I don't really see any situation of a Zaku sitting on a Leo lol, and plus the Leo's power output is unknown. On IRC, Spazer said that inertia could help give the Zaku an advantage in circumstances, but being lighter really helps out the Leo by alot. Firepower wise, Leos have a ton more, since they have beam weapons as their standard equipment. Zakus had a 120mm machine gun, but those were barely able to damage the original gundam. Which was made out of "Lunar Titanium Alloy". If that is anything like regular Titanium Alloy, the standard weapon of a Zaku would barely be able to damage a Leo lol. It would need to use that Bazokka, or get in close with the Heat Axe, and hope it doesn't get cut to shreds by the Leo's beam saber. And since a Leo is probably more agile and maneuverable, getting in close favors a Leo most of the time. As for a GINN vs a Zaku II... Thats a closer. They are probably about the same in maneuverability, due to weight. A GINN's armor is unknown, but given its weight, its probably something similar to a Zaku. The Zaku's 120mm machine gun is more powerful than a GINN's 76mm machine gun, but GINNs have access to some really big weapons (like a particle cannon) themselves. But, I kinda think a GINN's gun might be a little too small, if they just go with their machine gun. Zakus got taken down by Type 61 tanks in the OYW, and I image the tanks had 120mm cannons, but its not like the cannon absolutely blew the Zaku away. The Linear Tanks that the Federation used were pretty much stomped mercilessly by GINNs and BeCues in SEED. I wonder how big their gun was. I wonder if they mentioned anywhere in Stargazer how big the Linear Cannon on those tanks were? | ||
