Wasn't how I had hoped it would end, but I still enjoyed it. I like how a new enemy sprang up to take the place of the no longer existing witches. That appeals to that part of me that wanted the series to end with another loop.

WOW. so much I could write about. The first 30 seconds of episode 11 was already making me go crazy. Theories of Homura causing Madoka's despair were around, but I didn't think that magical girl potential = amount of despair. It makes sense though and explains how Madoka who barely defeated Walpurgis Night was later able to 1 hit it in another timeline. After I processed that, I was certain Homura would become the post tragic heroine of all time. Her fight against Walpurgis was the best scene in the anime, imo. She's somewhere in my top 10 favorite characters now.

At first I thought it would end with just Homura dying and Madoka heeding her warnings, but then I had to watch Madoka come to Homura's rescue and contract wtf! Or not? I had considered making some crazy paradox wish such as wishing the Incubators never, could never, come to Earth or before I saw episode 11 that Homura would be granted the ability to save Madoka, though I had no idea how this would be carried out. I did not like episode 12 too much just because it was so out there. Madoka essentially becomes a god, destroys the current universe due to an overwhelming amount of despair, and then recreates the universe with new rules and nobody but Homura (and her brother apparently) remembers her. I'm still not sure what to think of that since it's so out there, but WOW. crazy and satisfactory (although still kinda wtf out there) ending. Hilarious how Kyubey continues to be an emotionless, neutral incubator (can he even be called this anymore? he doesn't incubate witches) that Homura now treats as a pet, feeding him exhausted soul gems instead of grief seeds.

I was tricked again, as I was sure episode 10 was an indication that Homura was the real main character, but Madoka, becoming god, proved she was the real main character. Loved this series, though it doesn't have much rewatch value due most of the excitement being the "WTF DID THAT JUST HAPPEN" moments.

Ending wasn't quite as awesome as I hoped it would be, but still pretty good. Amazing series.

Yep, I got most of the magical girl references in those episodes. I'm not sure if the pseudo-science is feasable or not but... I got a Nanoha-type hair accessory exchange so I'm not disappointed.

Oh, I like the Messias motive. It's Good Friday too. Very apt.

That was good. A lot more fast paced than the other episodes, so I can see why some people aren't satisfied by the ending.

But wtf Homura? Your wings look weird....

I thought it was a witch for a moment.....but nvm

And if you don't know what I'm talking about, watch the last 10 seconds.
