I am also curious to see what is up with Mermaid Princess, Luffy and Jinbei. I guess the assassinated Queen was the one who invented the ideals that Fishmen and Humans should be equals instead of fighting for racial superiority. Probably Decken killed her with one of his flying Swords for her daughter and the Queen protected her daughter by shielding her. I also wonder what Nico Robin <3 is doing. A bit sad too see so few of her but maybe that means she is doing something important right now that will be revealed later. I just hope she won't get caught or anything, that would be a disappointment, OP needs strong women. | ||

I don't mind it all that much, it is a cultural thing and a boys Manga after all but the claim that women are strong in OP is not true. I'd just prefer if it was different. You say Big Mam - the other three Yonkou are men. You say Boa Hancock - the other 7 Shichibukai are men. You say Perona - the rest of Moria's crew and Moria himself were men. There is almost always exactly one woman in a group for the quota and she is usually short skirted and ~the 4th powerful of the group. The boss is never a woman. Arlong, Enel, Crocodile, Rob Lucci, Whitebeard, the 3 Admirals, Sengoku, Dragon etc. That's why I hated it when Bonney was the first of the Supernovas to get caught and I am a bit worried that Nico Robin is also used that way. | ||

The Smurfette Principle This principle either applies, or the manga focuses solely on women (Claymore, for a famous example). No middle ground, sadly. | ||

I had no idea there was a name for this principle lol. Also, the girls are like stated just for the fact that there is one and for eye candy. Big mam was never said the be the weakest and big mam is a boss i suppose. | ||

I mean, VDD and Hodi are teaming up in order to take down the king and his army which seemingly was a piece of cake for Zoro, Usopp, Brooke and Nami. Though we shouldn't forget the three princes. Even Hachi said "Don't underestimate Neptune" or something like that, and yet Zoro owned him without breaking a sweat. Just wait till all of them show their full power...especially Luffy. | ||
