Hmm, I was under the impression it was just one of those hilarious scams where weak people pretend to be strong, but fool enough people so they can actually get name value. Course, somehow everybody instantly believes them, but I'm pretty sure the fakes are just going to be fodder for Luffy.

It's either Aokiji or Akainu. Considering how the move of the main HQ was for a more serious reason, I'm leaning towards Akainu, as Aokiji declined the offer because he's simply too carefree.

For mostly nothing? Are you joking? We saw all but Zoro and Franky return in this chapter. We saw an awesome setup for an introduction to the straw hats new abilites by smashing either the fake strawhats or the marines. We had 3 colour pages which hasnt happened for a looooooooong time, we saw the 4 beasts representing some of the sh crew, the lion had the same scar as Zoro, the crocodile had a 'pop green' on his head which was epic. We saw how trashy Brooke has become, we saw his shark guitar :D. We saw how sexy Nami and Robin have become. We saw how manly Ussop has become along with an amazing weaon in pop green which has so many possibilites. We saw Sanji give the finger to the okamas (now my second favorite moment in one piece) along with his left eye. We saw Chopper being Chopper with an awesome new hat. We saw Duval protecting the sunny for two years. We saw the change of marine HQ along with Momonga in a marine cap which i found pretty awesome. We saw how the world thought the sh's were dead. We saw how Robin has either been escaping the RA or the WG yet again. To top this all off we get to see Luffy brush against fake luffy showing his haki by knocking him out.
What more do you want after all this time off? Its not like he has just planned out ONE chapter and the rest are going to be worse, hes been planning probably untill the sh's get to raftel. So yeah we may not have seen all the SH's and we may have not see them head out towards fishman island straight away, but i'd rather this than how naruto handled its timeskip. Naruto did pretty much exactly what you wanted onepiece to do and it was the beginning of the end.
Some might not be fully happy with the chapter or the character devlopments but look closer at the chapter and realise that its the character developments of personality and powers that will alter how you like the SH's, don't look at the colour spread and go omg new franky and others development is terrible, wait till you see him and how the other characters act and how they fight before you say you dislike odas work, i mean have a look at Ussop, manly beast with awesome weapons but still got shocked straight after he said 'nothing will phase me', classic Ussop  . And anyway has Oda ever let anyone down before?

As for everyone saying Usopp is the same, I would disagree. He flinches/reacts to the fake crew because he's slightly confused if they are the real crew or not. Not because of a fight. I think Usopp will be a much stronger combatant now.

My only problem with this manga right now its Luffy's form. It feels like luffy is shrinking instead of growing.I remember that Luffy was taller in the previous arcs. Maybe its just me... who knows.

I wanted more than 20 pages. Why the fuck would you keep doing 20 pages like it's a weekly and not do 30 like every other monthly manga out there. + I don't care AT ALL about coloured pages.
And do you seriously think luffy will need haki against impostor trash? -.- Usopp could probably rape them all himself. It seems to me like the fake straw hats are just riding the real SH's reputation.
I was fully expecting a reunion at Saboty. They could have just met at the ship or at the cafe and discussed what they were doing for the past 2 years. No need for the filler in between.

One Piece isn't a monthly manga. It's weekly. We got a color spread, 3 color pages and a total of 24 pages. During the Marineford arc, some weeks we only got 19 pages :/ Some people just are never satisfied with anything...successful troll is successful though.

Everyone have different tastes, so I'm not going to comment too much. But for the record, I liked this chapter. The filler was necessary to me.
I do agree with you regarding wanting more pages for this chapter, but this is not the authors call, it is Shueisha's.

There wasn't more than 20 pages because its not a monthly manga, its a weekly manga despite the time off.
Honestly theres nothing at all for you to be complaining about, just because the chapter didnt go your way you 'couldn't care less' is such a weak reason. One piece is the most unpredictable manga ever, if you applied this logic to the whole series then you wouldn't enjoy it at all would you?

I was expecting more. For a 1 month off I was expecting a little more than the normal amount we got. It would actually feel special, that the manga is back.

Seriously, so much whining it is horrible. I really enjoyed the chapter btw.
The reason people is crying is that they expect the most epic chapter of all time because they had to wait one month for it. Seriously, give Oda a break, he has been working almost non-stop for many years. I am as much a die-hard fanatic as you are, but I can understand the need to get a break in order to think a bit about the overall storyline and perhaps even more important, to not think about it at all and just enjoy life.

meh, they recruited 100+ bounty crews but it could be all from Luffy's 300 bounty, fame so doesnt necessarily mean they will amount to much when encountered with Luffy

Weekly is typically 17-18 pages. With 19 pages from time to time. 24 is Rare for one piece. If you want to compare OP with other mangas out there, dont insult the work, and take Quality into comparison.
And I see you say "you'd expect more for 1 month to produce a chapter" But that is wrong. He didn't take 1 month to produce it technically. That 1 month was technically a break. Like vacation time. You can't expect 1 month worth of manga from some1 who is on break for that month.

I'd imagine the month off wasn't dedicated entirely to that chapter. Asking Oda to make a chapter that is equivalent to a monthly chapter when he more than likely took the time off to get some R&R is sort of rude.

Pretty much this. I think it's pretty much a whole Captain Buggy getting all those Impel Down prisoners believing he's some big shot. I can only imagine that these guys are even weaker. He uses a freakin gun for heaven sakes. In One Piece, that means you're weak lol
