No I wanted to discuss only his weapon, Maxim. It's truly an ancient weapon when you think about it, maybe the blueprints got stolen or copied or something. I mean, an ancient weapon in One Piece refers to a great and terrible power that can destroy or sink island's.
That's exactly what Maxim almost did. You just have to connect the dots here, this can't be just a coincidence. Maxim won't work without the DF's power. The ancient weapon won't be that sought after if it is tied to a particular DF.
Just like Poseidon is completely reserved to the Mermaid Princess. That doesn't mean that that weapon won't be sought. The Maxim's power as an ancient weapon is still there.
There are some huge implications about this shit somewhere, but how can we know? Was there a 4th ancient weapon? Were its blueprints there as well? There's definitely some sort of link between the Maxim and the void history.

Many DF's have the power to sink islands, does that make them ancient weapons?
Whitebeard could tsunami a continent and then shake it until oblivion! Ace could burn everything Aoikiji could ice it all up BB could suck a island into his darkness Fujitora could meteor smash a island
so?
Enel sucks just face it.. ;D

the power to destroy an island is insignifcant compared to the power of friendship

.. Not really. maybe Whitebeard but that's because he was the world's strongest man.
Look at the fight between Aokiji and Akainu. It completely transformed the island, that's for sure. But Punk Hazard is still there on the map. It even took on Caesar's weapons of mass destruction.
Unlike the Maxim, which would probably have actually knocked down Skyepia. For all I care Enel is just some weakling who ate a Logia fruit. I don't care about him. But that weakling, armed with his weapon, obtained the power to destroy an island.
That's my point. ^^
Um.. don't over think this and don't turn this into a mindless debate. this is all just my 2 euro cents

and he can only destroy the sky islands

You don't just melt away an island. Enel with maxim whether you like it or not is one of a very few select combos in OP that can legitimately destroy islands.

Damn Gladius hat man, why so Sabo :p
Love fanbro Bartho man, he's cool. Obviously gonna let them in and help Luffy a bit if need be.

What is your reasoning behind this statement?

wouldnt be very elegant but they could have literally taken punk hazard off the map

I am not sure if you are trolling or just stupid. Neither of their powers would be fit to destroy land - quite the contrary actually. Nothing suggests that splitting the island in two was intended, but rather it would appear to be a side effect of their battle.

On a totally different note, I could totally see Zoro knocking up Tashigi on a one night stand or something

This but they won't make him retreat, he'll be recalled back because of the dwarven army.

I'm not here to discuss power levels, and I enjoy the ambiguity that exists in power differences. Much like people argue that Zoro could fight decently well against Luffy (or even win since swordsman and whatnot) but that won't come to fruition, I wouldn't like to see who's stronger between Z and S. Zoro would definitely beat Luffy. He'd lose to Enel, though, whom Luffy can beat. So it's a circle. There is no way Luffy would lose to any of his crew, period.

and if they did it by accident that only shows what they could do on purpose

Enel sucks just face it.. ;D A continent. As if there are more continents than one. There is the red line and then there is islands and the red line again.

Yeah it's nothing more than a theory. I mean, my speculation is based off of facts, but it's still a speculation. Still, Maxim being something of a vestige from the Void Century is possible. It won't come back for a major role, that's for sure, but it might come back when Robin starts adding things up.

FYI Albasta is as big as Australia and Fishman Island is as big as Ireland. You've never seen an actual to-scale map of the world. There could be a Pangaea in the North Blue or something.
Also, even though devil fruits can destroy islands, it would take a while. It took Aokiji and Akainu 10 days of fighting to "destroy" Punk Hazard. By that time everyone could just run away. A giant bomb is a lot more effective.

Not really a valid assumption to make because one, the intent of the fight isn't to destroy the island (blah blah look at these side effects) and two, you don't know if it took ten days for the island to become what it is now. Just because the fight lasted ten days doesn't mean you can logically make that inference.
