I liked the chapter. Can't wait for Bartolomeo getting all giddy when or if Zoro somehow notices him. The most serious member of the SH crew meeting the hopeless fanboy, will be so good. If you read this far you would know that if someone takes damage from an attack, they show it somehow like falling over/crumbling/passing out/showing signs of pain/wounds. People dont take a damaging hit and just stand there as if nothing happened, starting a casual conversation like DD did. DD just blocked Samjis kick and sarcasticly mocked him. since he doesnt have augment haki i doubt there is a chance for sanji to cause damage. Is ignorance truly bliss? i really would like to know. Really, where did they say Sanji didn't have armament haki? Luffy seems to think he has it.

It was stated at some point that during the timeskip Zoro learned augment haki while training with mihawk, while Zoro literally developed a high level of observation haki when he tried to avoid getting molested by okamas 24/7 for 2 years.
Sanji has also shown a very high level of observation haki after the timeskip, on par, perhaps even surpassing luffy but he has not used augment haki post timeskip. in fact, if he could he would naturally have used it against Doflamingo since he wants to protect NAMI SWAAN and the rest at any cost. there is no reason for him to hold back in this situation.
Luffy uses it in like every single attack.

Sanji is impressive, but Dofla is as well, which is to be expected. Remember what Sanji's kick did to that giant fishman back in the Fishman arc? Compare that to what it did to Dofla.

We still dont know enough about the other Yonkous. Big Mum might be a mediocre fighter but with a large and very powerful crew (wich would fit her name as the word big mum or big mama is usually used to refer to stocky women with lots of children)

Luffy uses it in like every single attack. This is simple. Back in Punk Hazard, Law was like "Cesaer is a Logia user, so only people who can clad themselves in haki should fight him." This is clearly referring to Armament Haki, btw. Luffy then replies "Okay, so that means me, Zoro, and Sanji... and I guess you (Law)." This is Luffy saying that Sanji has Armament Haki. GG, thanks for playing. Not being shown to use it isn't the same thing as being unable to use it.

Sentenal is indeed correct, with a proper text citation! Observation haki makes no sense in the exchange between Law and Luffy, because even if you can predict what Caesar will do, it won't let you capture him.
|
*Prediction: In the next chapter, Doflamingo will slice up Sanji using his strings. In the chapter after that, we see that Sanji was actually sliced up by Law as he uses his ability to save Sanji.
Doflamingo almost definitely won't be defeated here. However, there is a chance that Sanji, Law, and the rest of the crew can push Doflamingo back and escape on the Sunny (which I predicted awhile back, except without Sanji being in the mix). Alternatively, Doflamingo will win and we'll get to see Doflamingo controlling Straw Hat members with his strings and he'll use them against the other members in Dressrosa.
Also, from last chapter. I bet the old king really did torch the place. However, I bet he was controlled by strings when he did it.
* my predictions are almost always wrong

as much as i like Sanji, i think hes gonna get wrecked next chapt ><

+1, was just about to present the same argument as you. It's on record that Sanji can deal with logias and thus can use armanent haki.

why is fujitora just chilling somewhere? and what about bartolomeo... This guy is a fucking comedy goldmine. His meeting with the SHs will be a hilarious chapter.
Mera mera fruit on sanji seems reasonable... he might overshadow luffy though

Doflamingo attacking the strawhat ship will be used as exposition to finally reveal all details about is DF powers. I dont think it will be a real fight, he will toy around and boast about his powers first and then something super important happens in like the colloseum or with law that attracts his attention. i believe some SHs might get bruised up but nothing serious, just the obligatory narrative trick to push some characters to the side for a little while wich happens in every arc, to focus more on the important events (law fuji and doffy, and the colluseum+factory). Not to forget the Dwarves lol

Bartolomeo, along with the dwarves/gnomes/whatever, are the best things in this arc.

The best thing about the dwarves is the Noland flashback in Jaya, Where he talks about a land of dwarves... That was like 10 years ago, talk about foreshadowing. Oda has this shit fully mapped out.

I like the idea of Doflamingo capturing Sanji as a puppet.
Suddenly Zoro's enemy this arc becomes Sanji! Hahaha.
Won't happen methinks, since Doflamingo's crew + marines seem to have enough big players to test all the strawhats.
And regarding earlier discussion, Kaidou can't appear on this island. What sort of Yonkou crew would he be if that + Dofla + marines lost to strawhats + Law + some odd pirates?
The great thing about this arc for me is the number of different players with different motivations. Cavendesh, Dwarf Army, Barty, SH, Dofla and crew (which is huge), marines (how many vice-admirals are also here?), flower army, various toys, Burgess, and a number of those random gladiators. So good.

I wouldn't be a fan of Zoro fighting Sanji. I'm not here to discuss power levels, and I enjoy the ambiguity that exists in power differences. Much like people argue that Zoro could fight decently well against Luffy (or even win since swordsman and whatnot) but that won't come to fruition, I wouldn't like to see who's stronger between Z and S.

What really matters in the end is that Zoro is the first mate of the future pirate king, and sanji is his chef, and do not understimate the importance of well cooked meat in the strawhat crew, it is luffys most important "weapon", and mandatory for him in order to push his power beyond the limits.

Zoro would definitely beat Luffy. He'd lose to Enel, though, whom Luffy can beat. So it's a circle.

Zoro and Luffy did fight! But Nami won.

I think Law wasn't killed because Fuji was there. Fujitora was the one with the sword on top of Law, making him his prisoner with I guess his "weight" DF ability. Another interesting point to consider is that though Dofla is portrayed as vicious and cruel, he's actually protective and lenient towards his own followers/crew. He never blames his crew for their failure in PH, or instilled fear like how Crocodile did. Bellamy who was deemed a disgrace to be associated to him is now being given a second chance. He doesn't show that much animosity towards Law either when Law is presumed beaten. I guess he is cocksure that he has Law under control and he could potentially gain more by allowing him to live.
By the way, Dofla wasn't mocking Sanji as far as I can tell from the Chinese translation. "Looks like a capable fighter has arrived" sounds more like an acknowledgement that things aren't going to be as easy as he initially thought.
