Anyway, congrats to the guys who predicted Dofla was a Tenryubito (I know my spelling could be wrong but you get the picture) =) I only expected it after I saw posts on this thread mentioning it when the first newspaper was released about Joker retiring as a Shibukai. And as for Law... NOOOOOO!!! I don't think he will die though because in the last minute the "army" will arrive to interrupt his abrupt end. I am still curious what the Admiral's real power is. We still haven't seen it for realz! Most likely we'll get it via a Law flashback that warns the strawhats to be careful of his powers etc etc. Anyway, onwards Oda.. Onwards!!!! =) | ||

Awesome Brook sequence in this chapter! In other news; we get clear signals that DD set a fire and made it look like the old king's doing. So that bit is solved. | ||

Also Brook, you sly bone you. Brook is awesome. Somehow every single straw hat is awesome, there isn't a single one I dislike in terms of character or whatever. This coming from a guy that didn't want Franky or Brook to join when Luffy asked them to. | ||

I'm not sure how I feel about the fujitora + dofla + law battle thingy advancing like this... There was that earthquake move ages ago and now dofla is talking about his past randomly ? ;S Hopefully they at least finish the fight instead of just shaking hands and seperating like best buddies | ||

This actually makes perfect sense. Shichibukai are an arrogant bunch, as we saw with Croco-boy. Dofla wants to toy with Law by telling him all this important and confidential information before killing him. He wants Law to understand why it was a mistake to fuck with him. Dofla's mistake will be the same as Crocodile's. He's going to underestimate the straw hats. Which is already fucking retarded. Luffy is going to win that tournament and he'll probably beat the shit out One of the Three (diamante, etc), he'll beat the shit out of the one with the Mera fruit. Anyway, Dofla will be surprised and this will snowball into a straw hat victory where everything is chaos etc. I mean, what does Dofla actually have? It's Admiral/Dofla/3 strong dudes. The rest are small fries as we saw with baby5/buffalo and now Dora (vs brook). Against that we have monster trio and an ARMY of ridiculously strong dwarves and that navy army from chinjao and rebecca (who is apparently a scary fighter) and soon cavendish/barto/belamy. Zoro is scary as well. We haven't even seen him fight seriously yet. We haven't seen him bleeding on the brink of death with his bandana on. That's when he's really fucking scary. He hasn't even been close to that yet. Luffy? Hasn't shown his true potential either. :/ | ||

that would make the whitebeard pirates look ridiculously weak for not being able to take them out. If the Yonkou Edward "Strongest man in the World" Newgate and his crewmates like Marco the Phoenix couldnt take out a single admiral during the war, Zoro and Sanji togheter cant. Introducing a new Admiral, not showing much of his actual fight against Law and then having him fall to Strawhats will just start an endless debate about Monster Trio being Admiral Level VS Fuji just being the worst admiral ever. Admirals are supposed to be somewhere between shichibukai and yonkous in terms of power. DD is a superstrong shichibukai, like mihawk he is probably "too strong" to want the title except he used it to take and rule Dressrosa without the WG sticking in their nose, and Mihawk using the title to be able to have freedom to do whatever he wants without being bothered by marines. DD already said he would quit the title anytime he felt like it was not benefiting him anymore, dont put him in the same league as Moria and Croc please... There is no way the monster trio can take on DD and an admiral togheter. Not yet. Do you want a kizaru/akainu-level Marine Soldier and one of the most dangerous pirates in the world (according to kuzan) to be stomped ike Hody Jones? Whats next, Luffy defeating blackbeard in the next Arc? | ||

If Luffy went for DD and Zoro and Sanji took on Fuji, Luffy might last for some time considering its their first battle and like with CC, it will most likely be somewhat of a show. But Zoro and Sanji should fall like flies to an admiral. two years of training isnt enough to take out an admiral. Marco fought Kizaru on somewhat equal terms after being mentored by the strongest man in the world for more than 2 years (probably like 10, we dont know but he is first division commander and was there when ace first got there). Marco Also has one of the strongest DFs in the series that makes him almost invincible | ||

I thought for a while that that meant Luffy was going to beat the fucking shit out everyone. That didn't happen. So, do you really think you can predict what's going to happen? Admirals aren't fodder but they aren't invincible either. Look at how Akainu got beat up by Whitebeard. Look at how Akainu then beat Aokiji (did take him 10 days though). Power levels in One Piece are broad estimates more than anything. Point being that anything goes in One Piece. Doflamingo could get trashed but he could also just see his factory destroyed and be forced to leave due to the sheer amount of followers that Luffy is getting in the Colosseum. Come to think of it, that's pretty Luffy-like. Dofla sends him a trap that is the Colosseum, Luffy just befriends everyone instead. Dofla won't take that into account and no matter how powerful a single pirate is, in the New World having friends is also very important. Dofla only really has his crew to back him up. | ||
