Since they are the only one left int he ring we don´t see any collapsing people. But both chars have some strange presence around them, so it could be still right.
This isn't true, if you look at the last page, in the large panel on the right side people are still standing as the hit connects. The panel with the fish and fighters in the water and the one below clearly shows people are affected (passing out) from the haki - you can see two are mid air falling into the water. Don't know why the audience aren't, but it might be that the range is too great..

I agree somewhat with whoever said there was no real plot progression in this chapter, but at the same time I think Oda's doing a very efficient job of showing the extent of Luffy's current strength (the comparison to Bleach is accurate). Besides, as others have pointed out the tournament is an important part of the arc, as evidenced by the multitude of newly introduced characters who still have important roles to play.
As for the interpretation of the "Conquerour's Haki" statement, I think we need to wait for a more reliable translation before we can say anything for sure, but it seems to me that the slight pause between "[a] clash of" and "Conqueror's Haki" (indicated by the dots) implies that Diamante made an observation about the actual collision and had to recollect his thoughts for a split second (it's not every day you see two people use CH simultaneously, after all). If he were making a general statement about both of them possessing CH, I think he would've just said the sentence without a pause in-between.
Anyway, pretty good chapter imo. Not 10/10 or anything, but a solid build-up for future events.

Perhaps, but he did say he has drawn her besides Dragon and other revolutionaries, however, when I take a glance at said images, the only characters that stand out are either Dragon or Ivankov so I really don't know which is correct.

Oh man guys I just remembered that a new devil Fruit was presented. Jake Jake fruit, the ability to control everything which wears you O.o
Wouldn´t it be funny to control a DF user? And what would happen if someone uses haki when he tries to cover you (like he already covered your legs but then someone uses AH and he cant continue O.o)
Really funny and innovative DF power imo

There's no way this upcoming fight will just be a "Oh that was cool, now let's forget that strong guy" because that never happens. Bounty Hunter guy mentioned knowing the whereabouts of level 6 criminals, we'll see him again at least for that.
Exploding fists, the giant and jake jake I dunno, but at the very least they might be interesting cameos or something. For all we know Law recruits mr explodey fists at the end. And the jake jake ends up wearing the admiral or some shizz.

How right you are, the author always has a way to bring back shit that seem like to matter very little to being something that matter alot. Hence when Haki was first introduce in Sky Island and then we finally get an explanation of it during the Amazonian arc. Hell everything that Sky Island related always seem to come back and bite us when we thought all has been learnt from it, also hence that dude with the weird head great great great grand father helping out those gnome a long time ago so now Upsopp is able to manipulate them because of it.
Hell, i wouldnt be surprise that sea monster that ate shanks arm came back and reveal that he was the master mind behind guarding the One Piece treasure.

Yeah pretty much this, I was always a sucker for tournaments and it had to happen in One Piece at some point since Oda is a Dragonball fanboy. I really just want to see Luffy fight and show of his new powers against epic opponents :D.

Pretty much in the same boat as you guys. I was doubtful at first because I thought it would just be a random succession of Bleach-like meaningless duels, but this all-out brawl tournament thing is fucking enjoyable to read as a matter of fact :D

So Diamante knows that Lucy is Luffy, that's why he made the statement "clash of conq. Haki". When I read your comments earlier today before reading the chapter I thought it was a caption.
The blow itself was only clash of Armament Haki.

At the end of the previous chapter there were 40 people still standing.
It's unlikely that 36 of them are taken out in the time between funk brothers merging and Luffy & Don fistbumping.
If Luffy and Don are the last two ones standing, it makes sense that their combined (and controlled to just affect the arena area and not the audience) Conquerer's Haki took the rest (the majority,if not all, unnamed) out. It could explain the "clash of Conq Haki" thing. If that's not the case and they only were 4 left, then it's just becaue the person saying it knows they both have the ability.
