I don't know about that, but its easy enough to just torrent both of those two, and I think the official funimation subs for One Piece are put up on their site like an hour after it airs in Japan.

gogoanime is easy for streaming but downloading is much better quality, although gogoanime is alright. And its only ~300mb, so it's pretty quick.
It's hard to judge time between the things going on because every single minute counts atm with sooo many things going around and on the island. Let's hope the crew is able to safe Law, would be a shame to lose a popular character like that. But then again, Oda doesn't very easily drop characters but when he does, it's the big ones. Luffy won't be getting in that 3way fight so I hope he just saves himself in the arena and have the other 2 make it right on time. Both Sanji and Zoro have a guide atm so should be fine but also, both of them seem to want to go to another place first.

I need my One Piece fix! I NEED IT GUYS.
Chapter next week at least? you should read Toriko, it's like a sweet ass combination of One Piece, Yakitate Japan and Berserk. Oda and Toriko's writers are really good buddies too, if that's any incentive. btw is there any ongoing series running longer than berserk? Its first chapter was in friggin 1989 :0 until now I thought that Detective conan was the longest running. I nearly cry knowing that berserk will never be finished. will it really never be finished or is pacing just reallly slow ? even if it does finish (which is highly doubtful considering we're probably not even halfway through the plot), Miura isn't the same person he was when he started Berserk. It might sound weird, but Happy-Miura just isn't on the same level of quality as Depressed-Miura. Whatever form of Berserk that we'll get will never be as good as what could have been. Gungrave is the closest thing to a finished Berserk that we'll get, probably. Now, what's this about "Happy-Miura" and "Depressed-Miura"? I've liked the overall quality of the series (I even reread it all from the start a couple of months ago because I couldn't take waiting). That flower spirit flashback arc really tears me up, in any case. Why'd she need to die. If that's the "Depressed-Miura" then that Miura is a good storyteller.

It hurts more knowing that if a new chapter comes i will be so excited for the minuscule plot movement that will come in those 19 or so pages. ;( For people who have never read Berserk imagine having to wait a year between One Piece chapters. It fucking hurts. January 2013 chapter 333 was scanlated. So it's a bit over 7 months. 334 should really come any week now based on past releases. I really hope.

the first chunk of Berserk was jsut him running around slaughtering everything single mindedly just focusing on killing Griffith but now hes completely different is what i think he means

can we discuss zoro a little bit? i just re-read a large part of the first half of onepiece, ending at enies lobby (best arc imo, sidenote) and i think he is such an underwhelming character. i mean i grew up with one piece in my hands. i have followed this shit for almost as long as i can remember, and i love the series so much, but i am just curious if anyone else feels like me. zoro never shows any feelings except anger or nochalance, and is in all other situations completely apathetic. i always thought he was the coolest character in the series, but as i grow older and as the series develops past standard-shounen-bullshit-i-am-stronger-than-u-lol-XD i feel he needs more than just the "im gonna become the best swordsman 'cuz my bitch ladyfriend died from some disease". now, that made it sound like i hate him, but i feel thats the hard truth. he does nothing, absolutely nothing, except slice people and walk in the wrong direction. he isn't funny, he isn't emotional, he has no known emotions at all like sanji having a weakness in women, nami and usopp not being particularly strong and scared all the time, luffy wanting to protect his nakama etc. and dont give me any robin bullshit, that lady showed more emotion in enies lobby than any other character combined in all the arcs.
just wanting a discussion here, not setting anything afire by saying i hate zoro, he is still really fucking cool.

Then you should continue reading up to Thriller Bark, Zoro has great character development in that arc.
|
i have re-read the entire series about 5 times the last two years, but the development in that one is not much more than that he will sacrifice his life for his captain? nothing new, done that in every arc before and after.
|
I've seen a lot of character development in zoro, and lots of different emotions. Have you considered that maybe you're just a bad judge of character?
|
Zoro is just a stoic type of character. If that is not to your tastes, then that's it. Not every character can be in the foreground goofing off all the time. So yeah, Zoro is serious most of the time. Most commonly this facade cracks when Nami or Sanji(the next most serious crewmates) behave nonsensical.
If that's your definition of boring or bland, then so be it.

- Who his parents are and why he has his dream and went to the dojo are still unknown. So there's still a lot of potential in his back story. - His childhood master is friendly with Dragon and the revolutionaries (or at least supplied them). - He has a dream to become the world's strongest swordsman based on his childhood rivalry with a girl who is already (supposedly) dead because she fell down stairs. She fell down the stairs because she was going to get a sharpening stone that she only needed because she had fought Zoro with a real sword at his insistence. So, he feels responsibility for her death and carrying on the dream for the both of them. - Despite his dream, we find that Zoro is repeatedly willing to sacrifice himself for others. Luffy initially finds Zoro tied up because he's sacrificing himself for some girl. During the Usopp joining arc, he actually blocks a shot from Usopp with his own body to prevent the enemy from going after Usopp. We all should remember the end of Thriller Bark with Kuma. - Not only is he willing to sacrifice his life, he's also eventually willing to sacrifice his pride in order to get training from Mihawk. That is something he certainly would not have done early in the series and I believe he did it because he put Luffy's dream above his own. - We also have his adult rivalry with Tashigi. Toss in him holding back against Monet and we can see that he, like Sanji, has a soft spot for women (or maybe weaklings in general).
Overall, despite being a big badass who acts like he doesn't care, Zoro seems to be very kindhearted and has about as much depth as you can expect from a character in a Shonen Manga.

True that I always remember that scene where he was about to cut down the Eternal Dragon for shooting an innocent man back in Shabody

Zoro is simply the type of person who only shows emotion when needed and is nonchalant the rest of the time. He's a calm character who doesn't get as eccentric as the rest of the crew, similar to Robin.
Zoro's intervention during the Usopp fiasco at Water 7 is a good example of being there when it counts. Thriller Bark is another example of Zoro's show of character. Zoro and Chopper's discussion during the Arabasta Arc (when they get lost because of Luffy, in the desert) is yet another example. Zoro and Chopper actually have interesting interactions. Zoro vs Sanji is also mostly funny. I also liked Zoro's mindset in the Little Garden Arc, where he was about to cut off his feet just to die fighting.
Zoro showing little emotion is a part of his character.

In the anime (I don't know if it's the same in the manga?) he was about to cut down the Eternal Dragon because he was going to shoot Zoro because he wasn't on his feet.
